Story

We are very excited to announce that a number of brave colleagues across Business Development will be challenging themselves on Saturday 9th September 2023 by walking the Scottish Highlands where we are set to complete 2 of the Munros in one day – Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime raising money for Crisis - Our new Charity Partnership where every donation will help.

The compact group of mountains known as the Arrochar Alps are renowned for their steep, rugged and rocky nature which will provide trekkers with a challenge to complete especially by combatting both in one day!

The walk itself will take approximately 6-7 hours to complete which will be challenging, however with the team spirit and support behind us we hope to complete in record time.

About Crisis...

Crisis is a UK national charity for people experiencing homelessness.
It's estimated that over 227,000 families and individuals across the UK are facing the worst forms of homelessness, and almost 2 million households are living with poor conditions, such as mould, damp and overcrowding. The reasons vary, but mainly it’s the result of a combination of low incomes, the pressures of housing unaffordability - exacerbated by an undersupply of social rented housing in the places they’re most needed, and barriers to accessing the limited supply of decent, affordable homes in the private rented sector.

This is why our partnership with Crisis (working with Simon Community in Northern Ireland), is crucial. Crisis offers year-round education, employment, housing, support, advice and wellbeing services to its members, and wants to end homelessness for good.

Every year Crisis and Simon Community work with thousands of people to end their homelessness across the UK, and campaign for vital policy change to help countless others. They work with anyone currently experiencing, or at-risk of homelessness, over the age of 16. Many will be rough sleepers, while others may be in emergency shelters, sofa surfing or living in hotels/B&Bs.

The partnership is driven by our shared conviction that to end homelessness we urgently need more homes that people on low incomes can access and afford. Good quality social housing in the UK is becoming increasingly scarce, and we’re calling for 1 million new genuinely affordable homes to be built over the next decade. Not simply a ‘roof overhead’, but homes that provide security, decent living conditions and manageable rents.

We know times are tough for many so any support you can provide for the Charity is greatly appreciated. Any funds raised we will apply for matched giving which will further support the great work undertaken by the Charity.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause :-)
