Dino Egg Hunt 2023

Bring your budding paleontologist on an excavation adventure as they hunt for colorful "dinosaur eggs" and prizes, explore the Dinosaurs! exhibit, and more!

 

Tickets

Pre-purchased tickets for this event are required to reserve your spot. Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Special Event Tickets are required for youth age 3 and up. Children age 2 and under are free with a paying adult. General admission is required for adult guests accompanying youth egg-hunters.

  • Adult: $14.00 General Admission
  • Youth (Age 3-17): $12.00 General Admission + $2.00 Special Event Ticket
  • Child Age 2 and Under: Free
  • Senior (Age 62+), Military, Student (ID Required): $12.00 General Admission

Pre-purchased discounted tickets for Portal to Science cardholders are only available to be purchased at an admission desk on-site. Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Call for availability.

CSC Members

Members receive FREE admission to this event as part of your member benefits, but pre-registration is required to reserve your spot. Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To receive your member discount for pre-registration, select the Register link in the top right corner of the screen to set up your login credentials. Your login email and address must match the information we have on file with your membership. If the information is entered in differently, the system may not recognize your membership discount. Event Details

Check-In/ Registration

  • Date: Saturday, April 8th 2023
  • Time: Doors open at 8:00 am
  • Location: North and South admission desks at 8:00 am
  • Tickets: Tickets purchased online may be redeemed during check-in at the admission desk. You may present a printout of your ticket or display the ticket electronically on your mobile device for check-in at the admission desk. Check your spam folder if you don't see your confirmation e-mail.
  • Additional Info: Event guidelines will be announced in the North Lobby before the Dino Egg Hunt begins. Please allow yourself adequate time for parking, check-in, and making your way to the Dino Egg Hunt area.

Dino Egg Hunt

  • Time: 9:15 am - 10:15 am (or until all eggs are collected)
  • Location: All ages are welcome in the Main Building. The Aquarium Building is reserved for children age 5 and under. 
  • Additional Info: After the Dino Egg Hunt event, guests are invited to stay and explore Catawba Science Center exhibits, planetarium, and aquarium until close at 4:00 pm.
