"Hatuna Pesa" Kenyans Blast Ruto as Govt Targets Jobless Youths to Pay Housing Levy

The levy was suspended but government sought orders to continue collecting the levies until next year.

Kenya Kwanza introduced a new bill in the national assembly that seeks to amend the earlier provisions of the Finance Act 2022 on the Housing levy. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

In this new bill, even jobless Kenyans who earn income in the informal sector have not been left behind. The housing levy axe has been extended to them.

Below are some of the reactions from Kenyans with majority criticizing the government wondering how jobless Kenyans will remit housing levy.

Others opined that it was better to move out of the country and seek refuge in neighboring countries instead of living in Kenya.
