Kenya Kwanza administration led by president William Ruto is in rush to have housing levy established into law after Court gave government stay orders until January next year.
The levy was suspended but government sought orders to continue collecting the levies until next year.
Kenya Kwanza introduced a new bill in the national assembly that seeks to amend the earlier provisions of the Finance Act 2022 on the Housing levy.

In this new bill, even jobless Kenyans who earn income in the informal sector have not been left behind. The housing levy axe has been extended to them.

Others opined that it was better to move out of the country and seek refuge in neighboring countries instead of living in Kenya.
