- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2020Nikola Tesla wrote this in part to share his philosophy of life and of the universe, and in part to describe how he goes about conducting electrical experimentation. This book is entirely in English, no equations, but if you step back you can see how Tesla is envisioning electrical and magnetic fields interacting with one another to create the phenomena he sees. Too bad no university teaches this subject in this manner anymore! You begin to appreciate how he frames problems, tries to solve them, and then interprets his findings, and iterates!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2015This is very technical and useful for the technically advanced reader.
Tesla was truly a genius, when taking into account that most of his discoveries were mentally attained. Very few writing processes.
He designed, tested his designs, redesigned and improved them mentally. When thus fully tested, he put the final design on paper for technicians to build the devices according to his specs. Even the calculations were done mentally, often using many laws and formulae.
Not recommended for a casual reader.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2014Really enjoyed it. Interesting, really information, but over my head. But, I know more about AC frequencies (I had some knowledge about it). My opinion about Thomas Eddison has decreased the more I read about Nikola Tesla.

It's not a bad book, for people wanting to set out learning more about light it'll be a harder read. I found it good but I'm a Tesla fan anyway.
