We require a Placement Support Officer to help support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in work placements as part of our Supported Internship programme.
The successful applicant will be required to support Coordinators and teaching staff to provide direct support to interns/students on their work placement. You will support students to ensure they develop in placements and learn key employability skills needed for paid employment. You may also be required to facilitate independent travel training and work with the placement Coordinator to source suitable work placements for our SEN learners. Due to the nature of the role you will need to have strong communication skills and be able to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
You will also be involved, where required, in supporting teaching in the classroom. This role involves lone working and travel across the North East region.
