sweet and not rancid
It seems to be a lottery with walnuts. Despite some negative reviews, I recently turned to these because my usual trusted brand turned out some pretty rancid batches. I go through one pack a week and for the past 2 weeks, these have been the best organic walnuts I can currently buy. I just hope it stays this way.
I wouldn\x27t recommend it to my enemy
I've been a loyal Ocado customer for several years and I shop a lot because I like to cook and eat at home. I was never compelled to write a review before, but here i am... actually i read a review which described my feelings exactly already, so had 2 double negatives enough not to write a review... but I feel like it's my public duty and divine purpose to warn humanity never to eat these acidic, mushy, rancid thing (because i am not even sure if it is plant matter... but if it is, then it is.best described as cat puke soaked in the nastiest pesticide).
Quality of varieties available.
My favourite, most natural tasting of the alternatives available.
Dry, dark brown, old, horrible taste
Whole pack is inedible
Sweet flavour and excellent texture
I used to buy another brand's organic walnut pieces (American brand stocked by Ocado) to have on my porridge but the flavour of the last few packets of those has been off & several pieces were rancid so changed to these. Much more expensive but consistently good and will continue to buy. Not had a rancid one yet. Wish they were in compostable packaging though.
So so
Too dried, no volume, almost skin only.
