THIS MADE MY DAY. Had to share :) In March 2016, 4 years ago, I published an article on the future of recruitment in a Norwegian magazine Magma. I wrote about the newly announced Forth industrial revolution, its challenges for the labour market and what we can do to tackle these. I said that because of the changing skill demand, we won’t have perfect candidates and perfect jobs anymore. We would need to break down jobs into tasks, and people profiles into skills, to cover one job with several people if needed, and map the skill gaps more easily; I spoke about people having multiple jobs and build their careers around their core skills, and companies sharing their human resources with others during the low periods. Fast forward to today, May 2020, 4 years later, an article in Harvard Business Review is speaking about these exact trends as a reality. It speaks about how the world leading companies have adapted to the skifting demand in the market, pushed to extreme by the COVID-19, and how it helped them successfully manage the skill excess and shortage. It was my "just like I said" moment :) #Trends #recruitment #worldofwork

Companies might learn a thing or two from Spotify and Netflix and others, and focus more on access to talent rather than ownership of talent.
Maybe they should hire you to World Economic Forum :)
