Instead of trying to "find" your purpose, how about "developing" or "noticing" it? Think of something worthwhile to you, or pay attention to what feels good in your life. Ask 3 questions: 1) Does it bring me joy in some way? 2) Do I want to invest my time to do more? 3) Does this improve my life or/and positively impact others? If you answer yes, contemplate what makes doing this meaningful. If you answer no, pick something you've been curious about and do/learn it. The key here is openness and the willingness to take action without rigid expectations. Remember, you are not stuck. You just haven't given yourself a chance to explore. Let go of "I must find my purpose" and embrace "I choose to spend my time mindfully and purposefully."

You will only find what makes you happy by trying new things, meeting new people and by being open to change. By trying new hobbies, new places and going to meet new people (whilst potentially feeling uncomfortable at the start) is the only way you will grow as a person. Most of the time, you won't know what you're good at until you try. Who knew after years of being afraid of swimming, that when I learned, at 34, my technique was very good and breathing was easier than I thought! 😆

Finding your purpose in life can be an introspective and progressive journey. To get started, explore your passions, your values and what really motivates you. Think about what makes you happy, fulfilled and satisfied. Talk to friends, a mentor, or a life coach to get outside perspectives. Engage in new experiences, learn new things and be open to opportunities. The key is to actively explore what resonates with you and take small steps in that direction to discover your ultimate goal.

I want to add a thoughtful question. Why are we obsessed with finding and having a purpose? What does it give you to know a purpose? I was there too - really wanted a purpose. And went through several evolutions of what I thought my purpose was. At this point, my purpose is to "BE". Is this a purpose? A purpose can give a feeling of knowing, or security, or comfort. But maybe we can have a deeper experience of life if we are willing to not know. If we are willing to live life fully in each moment and be.

Few tips to guide you to finding Purpose. 👉 Get to know yourself better, including your interests, likes, and dislikes. Journaling can be helpful here, engaging in expressive writing, or creating lists of things that matter to you. 👉 Figure out your beliefs, values, and goals and work in line with them. 👉 Soul Searching and Self Reflecting. Having some alone time to reflect, and search down within to the core of who you really are can lead you to finding purpose. 👉 Ask your Creator. Ask the One who created you and knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb why He put you down here on earth.

Reflection on values is one aspect of getting to know WHO you are. When we have clarity about our WHO we are much better positioned to discover our WHY - our purpose for life at a given season of life. Thus, our life purpose can, and likely will, change at different stages of life as our needs, interests, experiences, and other factors change. One simple question to ask, once we have settled issues such as self-worth, is: "What is it that I absolutely must do?" Answering that question provides us a hint about our driving passion at a point in time.

Life purpose is not something you will find in a one day. As per my experience it is more of evolution. Untill and unless you have no clue it's important to keep learning good things and keep moving try to explore more and keep observing to know your purpose you first try to know yourself which involves many things at various levels some of them could be your values, your biological needs, your mindset, find out what needs to be improved and by doing more you will find what to do more once you feel this is something you can be align with spend more time . I believe that can surely help you to create beautiful journey of finding your purpose.

You can start by finding things that you are asked about frequently, enjoy doing as a hobby, or have been interested in learning more about. Finding a passion is considering applying effort to the things you enjoy leisurely or as a new skill or income. It's important that you start with things that you are interested in first to spark your passion.
Another way to find your life's purpose is to expose yourself to different opportunities and experiences that can expand your horizons and challenge your assumptions. You can do this by volunteering, traveling, learning new skills, joining clubs or groups, or taking on new projects or roles. By doing so, you can discover new aspects of yourself, meet new people, and find new sources of inspiration and motivation.

Setting goals in new arenas, unfamiliar and challenging that they may be, is important for continued growth. New usually equals uncomfortable; a place many are nervous or plain-out scared to go. Remember: The first rep always hurts the most. Like anything else, repetitions ease the pain to a point that growth and achievement begin! Don’t be afraid of the unknown, set goals and work to achieve them! 💪🏼✌️🏆

Explore and experience. Unless you try, you never know. These can be little things. Simple things, things like your hobbies and where you can discover your passion. This is what I believe in, and during my coaching sessions, I demurely ask my clients to write out their hobbies. It not hobbies, it can be interest. If not interest, explore. Keep the mind open to exploring. For example, for those who love travelling, what about travelling you like the most? Anything about travelling you can turn to passion? Apart from utilising your free time, instead of remaining idle, I also tell my clients to use the time to write our ideas, to think of ideas and if they want to, visualise the outcome, visualise where it will take them.

Andre Agassi is widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time. But he hated tennis. Post his retirement he mentioned in his autobiography, ‘Open’: "I found myself in a life I never chose." Agassi's father pushed him into tennis at the age of 7. Now, compare this with another former world No. 1, Roger Federer. Federer engaged in a variety of sports during his early years, including tennis, basketball, and even skiing. Ultimately, Federer chose to pursue tennis. Federer immersed himself in various environments before selecting tennis. He not only embraced it but also dominated it. It's not about finding what you love and then doing it. It's exactly the opposite. Do many things and then choose what you love.

In our society today, especially in the business world, we tend to be left-brain dominant. We are logical, practical, analytical, etc. The left hemisphere tends to process things sequentially. We have neglected and undervalued our right hemisphere, which is creative, imaginative, inventive, the source of our emotions, etc. I think one of the key pieces to discovering your purpose in life, or what you need to be doing next, is to intentionally engage the right brain. Get out of routine, take a walk, learn to meditate, etc. All of these things will stimulate the right hemisphere. I don't think we "figure out" our purpose (left brain) so much as uncover it (right brain). Engaging the right brain can help!

There is an over-emphasis on Purpose, Passion, meaning, etc. Just to answer this "What's your passion?", in executive dinners, etc, forcing yourself for a Purpose, is meaningless. So, consider the following: 1. Be present to embrace life. 2. Reflect, if you are "really" missing ANYTHING in life or if are you missing something under societal influences 3. Engage in self-awareness activities. 4. Identify your fears, and challenge each fear, often rooted in social conditioning. 5. Break from routine, and confront fears hindering progress. 6. Embrace the natural flow of life Remember, instead of looking for one Passion in life, choose "Life" as your passion and live it Passionately. Trust me, there can't be a better "Purpose" than this.

I believe that all the opportunities that we have or get in our lives are stepping stones towards our lives purpose. Out of all the various paths available to understand and find out life's purpose - I found Travelling to be the most effective one. Wether you travel solo or join some group, it really makes the journey exciting and this comes from personal experience. You also don't need a lavish budget in today's time to travel. B&Bs are available everywhere. Travelling helps you open new doors...new insights and certainly your outlook towards yourself and especially towards your inner self undergoes a drastic change. Once this connection is made between your outer self and inner self - that's where the first steps towards your life's true purpose are revealed.
Sometimes, finding your life's purpose can be easier if you have someone to support you, encourage you, and give you honest feedback. You can seek feedback and guidance from people who know you well, such as your friends, family, mentors, or coaches. They can help you identify your strengths, weaknesses, goals, and values, as well as suggest possible paths or opportunities for you to pursue. You can also seek guidance from professionals, such as counselors, therapists, or life coaches, who can help you overcome any emotional or mental blocks that may be holding you back from finding your purpose.

Remember that discovering your life's purpose is a personal and ongoing process. It's okay not to have all the answers immediately. Be patient with yourself, stay open to new possibilities, and trust that clarity will come with time and self-reflection. One useful thing to add could be: - Practice mindfulness. Engage in mindfulness or meditation practices to quiet the mind. Allow space for new ideas and insights to emerge. Finding your life's purpose is a journey, not a destination.

Seeking guidance and feedback is paramount for personal and professional growth. It offers valuable insights, identifies areas for improvement, and accelerates learning. Active listening is a linchpin in this process, as it demonstrates a genuine interest in others' perspectives. By attentively absorbing feedback, you not only gain a deeper understanding of your strengths and weaknesses but also foster stronger relationships. In a dynamic environment, the ability to actively listen to guidance and feedback becomes a catalyst for continuous improvement, enabling you to adapt, learn, and excel in your endeavors.

Discovering your life's purpose can be facilitated with the support, encouragement, and honest feedback of others. Turn to those who know you intimately—friends, family, mentors, or coaches—for valuable insights into your strengths, weaknesses, goals, and values. Their perspective can illuminate potential paths and opportunities for you to explore. Seeking guidance from professionals like counselors or life coaches adds another layer, aiding in overcoming emotional or mental obstacles that may impede your journey to finding your purpose.

The single most effective steps that guided me towards getting unstuck in my life and discovering my purpose was by opening myself up to every possibility and reaching out to talk with new connections. When you open yourself up to the different, you're setting a new tone and direction for your life that organically takes you where you want to go. It's almost as if your layers automatically peel back a small portion at a time when you meet new people, ask about their lives, and absorb their lessons. The natural process of getting to know new people, what they experience in their lives, their hardships and celebrations offer you the opportunity to hear and think differently. Staying curious and listening to feedback will be life-changing.

Seeking feedback and guidance is really important. Feedback is about the acquisition of truth about ourselves and sometimes we are ill prepared for what might be revealed to us. How you are perceived by others can only be understood by having conversations with other people. As such, it is important that the persons you surround yourself with, are those who will tell you what is holding you back, honestly and constructively. Maybe you are mean, and no one has told you about it before, or perhaps you dress like a slob and so you are never taken seriously. Pieces of information like this are how you discover the things that even you have failed to recognize and truly improve ourselves.

Yes, seeking guidance that too from professionals or very experienced persons can put you on the right path for ascertaining your suitable life`s purpose. Because sometimes people perceive their weakness as strength or vice-versa. Best feedback will come from life experiences not by asking friends and relatives because they may not understand the root cause and then feedback will be biased. Most of the time it is found that it is friends and relatives who are some of the reasons for misguiding others. However, exceptions are everywhere. A professional support is a must if one seeks help of any kind. Because finding the root cause of this problem is a tricky affair which is best handled by the subject matter experts.

While seeking feedback, also consider developing a personal "board of advisors" – a group of individuals from different walks of life who can offer diverse perspectives. This group could include professional mentors, friends with varying viewpoints, and even acquaintances who challenge your thinking. Their collective wisdom can provide a more rounded view of your potential paths.
Finding your life's purpose is not a one-time event, but a continuous process of experimentation and iteration. You may not find your purpose right away, or you may find that your purpose changes over time. That's okay, as long as you are willing to try new things, learn from your mistakes, and adjust your course accordingly. Don't be afraid to fail, quit, or change your mind if something doesn't work for you or doesn't align with your values and passions. Instead, see every experience as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Discovering your life's purpose is an ongoing journey marked by exploration and adaptation. The quest for purpose may not yield immediate results, and it's normal for your purpose to evolve over time. Embrace the process of trying new endeavors, gaining insights from setbacks, and modifying your path as needed. Don't shy away from the prospect of failure, stepping back, or revising your goals if they don't resonate with your values and interests. View each experience as a chance to glean valuable lessons and foster personal development.

Finding life's purpose is a question of life. It may sometimes be tweaked too. We work on some purpose or goal with our best abilities and understanding, and even then it is seen that things don`t work as per our expectations sometimes. At this stage changing the path or goal is the wise way to proceed otherwise it may again stick us in the same loop. If that works we can re-route it otherwise we have already on our changed path. Mostly we do not have luxury to experiment much with our lives however rounding in the spiral loop doesn`t make much sense. Iteration is the natural option to enhance any objective-achieving process. This can take us to the desired destination with meaningful continuity in the process to win over.

Experimentation is crucial, as every outcome is not a failure but a stepping stone. It provides a chance to reassess and plan our next move, ensuring we don't just stop at a hurdle. This process fosters learning and improvement, maturing us and broadening our perspectives along the journey.

We have a purpose problem. Many of us are led to believe that we have one specific purpose, and that until we find it, anything else may be unfulfilling or hollow. Is this logical? Where would the justice be in that? In reality, there are many things that will feel purposeFUL to each of us, and you shouldn't fear experimenting with different things that do. Creating purpose is the best way forward for many. In addition, spending time in those areas, can help you to uncover any values that your work must honour.

Our purpose evolves over time as we evolve and our values do. What was once your purpose might not feel like it now, which is natural. Continue to check in with yourself about what energizes you, what feels inspiring to you, and importantly, what doesn't. Focus your time and energy on the things that give you energy, and start to divert your energy away from the things that don't.

Feeling lost amid the chaos of work and family? Discovering your purpose can be daunting, causing "purpose paralysis." Enter the "Flow Triangle": What am I good at (skills)? What do I enjoy (passions) ? What has value in the world(needs)? Find where they overlap—boom! Purpose ignites. How? Embrace "micro-purpose." Look for tiny ways to bring value to your job or relationship. Help a colleague, share financial burdens of parents, etc. Record your "Aha!" moments. Waiting for a grand purpose (e.g. Maslow’s Hierarchy) and disengaging from your current job /duty is meaningless. Skip soul-searching; embrace mini-meaning for a fulfilling life. Stop living life in anticipation of tomorrow; your today holds numerous purposes. Look deeply.

I now have some grandchildren. I have found it fascinating to watch these tiny humans figure everything out. They all learn how to walk, they all learn language and they do it without teachers, coaches, therapists, mentors. They experiment and iterate. They also "FAIL" dozens and dozens of times a day. They don't care, they just keep on experimenting and iterating. There should be a lesson in this for all of us!

If we never try, we'll never know – that's the beauty of continuous learning. Each attempt, each step into the unknown, is an opportunity to discover and grow. Embracing this journey of exploration and learning not only enriches our knowledge but also broadens our horizons, revealing potentials we might never have imagined.
Finally, finding your life's purpose requires you to trust your intuition and take action. You may have a gut feeling, a vision, or a sign that points you to your purpose, but you won't know for sure until you act on it. Don't let fear, doubt, or procrastination stop you from pursuing your purpose. Instead, take small steps, set realistic goals, and celebrate your progress. Remember that finding your purpose is not a destination, but a journey that you can enjoy and embrace.

Sometimes negative conditioning and habit patterns can be a block to the positive intuitions inside you. Be a curious and compassionate witness to your brain. Question every thought that doesn't feel good and replace it with one that feels better. Your emotions can be a very helpful guidance system as you try on different ideas about your purpose. When you consider the primary purpose of our brains is safety and survival, you may find yourself easily dismissing your visions and inspired actions. Override those autopilot thoughts with intention. As you make your inner conversation more and more focused on what you want, your mental attitude and brain physiology will be in service to your forward movement instead of staying stuck.

I have a slightly different opinion about trusting intuition and taking action. One`s intuition can only work if one has full faith with a positive mindset. Any kind of self-doubt can play spoilsport to an unlimited extent. One must understand this every human learns everything in this world only. Your grit will take you to success if you work consistently. Even a life coach or any expert for that matter only help you identify right path. It is only you who has to make it happen by adapting the required actions. For all this, mental block, limiting belief of any kind is to be addressed first before working towards life purpose. Negative attitude, negative self-talk, doubt, and external validation are some of the biggest obstacles.

I like the description of purpose as a journey and not a destination. I think it's important to remember this and not commit yourself to a single purpose forever. One of the many beautiful things about being human is our ability to learn, grow and change - as we do this, our life purpose may change too.

The best kernel here is don’t get stuck doing *nothing* because you aren’t sure what’s absolutely right. Identify your values and build your daily activities in service of those. Don’t overthink it. Show up for yourself and others just as you are right now while taking steps to be the person you picture yourself evolving to become.

Apart from humans, other species either understand their life purpose or don't question it. Even human children, unlike adults, simply enjoy the moment and act intuitively without pondering life's purpose. Adults grapple with this question, exploring various avenues to find answers, often influenced by misguided advice. Acting on intuition eliminates the need to search for purpose; following our hearts lets us live intensely, growing to realize our full potential. Life's purpose is living, and we should live from the heart, guided by our intuition.

Yes, I would have to say this is key to finding your purpose. Trust your intuition and your heart. Your hearts desire is intune with your life's purpose. If you place your hand on your heart and ask your heart a question it will answer you in feeling. Plus the heart answers back faster than you can get the question asked because it doesn't have to think about it. When you can learn to trust yourself enough to listen to your body communicate with you, you will start to understand how you are connected to life and life is connected to you. When you ask your mind a question, you expect an answer. Well the heart actually influences the mind so it only makes sense the heart knows what you want, it loves you first, by design. Trust your body.

Intuition/premonition is interpreting instinct. Preminetic ability. Each person will find their way how they decide to develop, no one size fits all..Our purpose, my perception is to fully embrace the experience without judgement. Self acceptance. How to act on this cognitive dissonance. Is realize that who you are and who you learned to think you are. Not the same. Who we learn to think we are is a chosen disassociate identity. Self enlightenment is radical self acceptance. We are all born who we are.

Finding your life's purpose is a journey worth taking. The first step is to listen to your intuition. Trust your gut feelings and inner wisdom, even if they don't make sense initially. Sometimes, the answers you seek are already within you, waiting to be uncovered. Once you have a sense of your purpose, take action. Start small, and focus on your goals. Don't be afraid to try new things, make mistakes, and learn from your experiences. Remember, the journey towards finding your purpose is just as important as the destination. Along the way, seek guidance and support from mentors, coaches, and like-minded individuals. They can provide valuable insight, resources, and encouragement to help you stay on track and make progress.

If you are at Physiological needs, your life purpose is to secure your survival. As you grow up the hierarchy, your purpose keeps evolving. Or you might be about to reach the self-actualization level and realize that you are capable of much more than what you had thought 20 years ago. Hence always keep an open mind, that your life's purpose can evolve into something else in the due course of life, as it happened with many others.

I will expand on the idea of Katie Mok's “Purpose is Fluid”. It is interesting. Finding your purpose is a continuous process that requires personal growth and self-discovery and can be influenced by a bunch of factors. Balancing several goals and advancing a significant cause can be challenging, but finding joy and fulfilment in pursuing your purpose requires appreciating the process, accepting growth, and thinking about values and impact. External circumstances can also alter your sense of purpose, but this continuous process builds fortitude and is worth it.

Here is something to consider. "You are struggling to find your life's purpose?" How is that struggle showing up in your life? Become aware of the Symptoms (Somatically) Then decode what could be the causes. Awareness around symptoms (Somatic ~ in the body) will allow you to reflect around the causes, so that you can start to do something about it. Now think 💬 what needs to happen for you to have the opposite of symptoms, leading to creating an outcome, which will align with your values, so that you can identity with that (X), and how it enables you to connect with others on the planet. What are you producing through you, and bringing that into the world, which is going to make a difference, and allows you to stay passionate for ever

Don't follow me, work with me to break the shackles of PEER PRESSURE, get CLARITY in life, and find true HAPPINESS | Certified Life Coach
This is what I addressed in my last post. Purpose of life and Clarity in life are both different. Purpose is something too personal and philosophical. It's a journey. Not a standard recipe. Clarity is something where external coaches can actively help. Coaches can definitely enable people to find the purpose. Thin line, but essential to set expectations right.

Being Spiritually grounded in a faith or belief/value system is so important when finding your purpose. Being firm in a higher power is required to ensure you’re making decisions on the correct foundations. I recently went through a period where I was emotionally / mentally exhausted and terribly sick, too. My job supported me to a point but it was remote and they couldn’t do as much… I was lost in myself in my illness for a bit. I was performing for my job, comparing my work to others, beating myself up, wearing myself out even further. Not realizing I was so sick that it took a while for me to mentally get out of the mental hole I made. It’s hard to find any purpose when you don’t know what your values are. Hold firm to your faith.

Simply be Be present to the moment Give it your full attention Acknowledge what is in this now Be open to possibilities Allow space to accept What is. Know what is, is not all. There is much potential in you That is awaiting your awareness Breathe in hope and let fear go This way you consciously create space to grow. To allow perspectives To be inspired To aspire in hope… And be all that you can be. Make your purpose Resonate magnanimity Make it make a difference To the world at large May every cell in you. Sense its vibrations Let the purpose speak From the heart in deeds. Like every thing in the Universe Has a reason to be Your purpose is intelligent It is embedded in the flow Such that it’s meant to be To flow through you...

Purpose takes different postures and shapes over the course and shifts of life. Purpose takes time, it is not a destination… it is a journey of living, being and becoming. The invitation into Purpose, is an exploration to “walk in the wild”, letting go of the controls and letting in the chaos that comes with life.

Embarking on the quest to find your life's purpose starts with considering others. Reflect on who you aim to support, uplift, or inspire. Contemplate the impact you wish to make and the legacy you hope to establish. Life isn't solely about personal education, financial gain, starting a family, or meeting expectations. True fulfillment emerges when you contribute beyond yourself—whether to fellow humans, animals, or the environment—making a meaningful difference.

'Purpose' may or may not be a simple one-word or one-liner answer for some, depending on the individual and the phase of life that they are in. Some may find purpose as part of their work, others may find it as part of their identities, sports, volunteering, hobbies/pastimes etc. But purpose is fluid. It can change as we grow, learn, and adapt to new circumstances. So even if we did manage to find purpose right now, know that there is a possibility that we need to find or refine it again in the future. And that's the fun part!
