Instead of recognizing and fixing the problem, members of the radical wing of the Idaho GOP want to hold facility funding increases hostage, in hopes of passing a voucher bill in the form of a tax credit. However, many see this for what it is - vouchers are merely a means for siphoning taxpayer dollars away from public schools in order to give them to private, religious and home schools.
Our students deserve better! I will work to ensure every student in Idaho has access to a quality public education. Lobbyists will not change my mind. The Idaho Freedom Foundation will not influence my vote. I know what’s important to Idaho and public education is its foundation. I have said this before but I will say it again. Vouchers are merely the IFF’s chosen vehicle for dismantling public education. I stand for an Idaho with a quality public education system.
Can I count on you to donate $50, $100, or whatever you can afford to my reelection campaign? No matter who runs against me, I know they will be pro-vouchers, anti-public education, pro-extremism, and willing to serve the interests of the Idaho Freedom Foundation. I’m their worst nightmare because they don’t control me and don’t influence me. Let’s do this!
