Our department leads the development of BMW's current and next generation Software Platform for automated driving. We are responsible for the base system including operating system, middleware, and system functions on top of which all autonomous driving functionality is built upon.

 

What awaits you?

  • You are responsible for defining quality processes, criteria, standards, strategy and metrics for the Product and Process Quality of our Platform Projects by considering the overall project strategy
  • Identifying Quality and Process risks and creating plans to mitigate them will be part of your daily tasks.
  • You are responsible for reporting progress in product and process quality, prioritizing problems to solve and proposing solutions to stakeholders.
  • You are responsible for contributing to the delivery of software work products and analyzing and improving development processes.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for planning, monitoring and reporting of ASPICE Gap Analysis, Reviews and Assessments as well as coaching in process implementation and assuring compliance.
  • You support the process owner in solving their Assessment findings and you are responsible for steering the resolution of these findings.
  • Hereby, you will ensure that the end-to-end traceability across various phases of the development life cycle and all required work product verification activities are performed correctly.
  • And finally, you are responsible for syncing on quality topics with different departments and suppliers.

 

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a related field.
  • At least 8 years of working experience in Automotive embedded software development or testing.
  • Relevant experience in development and implementation of Software Quality Assurance policies, processes and tools.
  • Experience with tailoring and deploying international software standards such as Automotive SPICE (preferably as an Automotive SPICE Assessor), ISO 26262 or ISO 21434, ISO/PAS 5112, IEC 61508.
  • Experience in Software tools such as GitHub, Klocwork, CodeSonar, CodeBeamer. Confluence and Jira.
  • Preferably experience working in agile software frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban.
  • You enjoy continuous improvement of processes and interdisciplinary collaborations with different stakeholders
  • Business-fluent German and English.
