Officer Ian Irizzary is Badly Burned & Loses Home

Donation protected
On March 6, 2024, Orange County Corrections Officer Ian Irizzary’s home was tragically caught fire. Ms. Irizzary returned home from taking their children to school, to find their home on fire. She managed to make it inside and wake Officer Irizzary, who was asleep after working the night shift.

Officer Irrizary got up and immediately went to the fire’s source and attempted to address it. Upon opening the back door, the introduction of new air flow caused the fire to spread rapidly through their home. Sadly, Officer Irizarry remains hospitalized after suffering severe second- and third-degree burns.

Unfortunately, their home and everything in it was a total catastrophic loss. Officer Irrizary faces a long road to recovery and a significant amount of time out of work. As the primary provider, and only source of full-time income for his family of five (Mother, Wife and two young children) they are faced with financial crisis.

Officer Irizzary dutifully serves his department and the community every day. Always placing the well-being of those he serves and serves with above his own. We are turning to our community, and first responder brothers and sisters to assist Officer Irizzary’s family with their surmounting financial burden.
