The Bradford City FC Community Foundation are delighted to announce a new partnership with Muslim Friendly Employers (MFE).

MFE seeks to work with employers with the aim of establishing “Muslim-friendly” workplaces, which allow employers to both attract employees from the Muslim community, and provide a working environment which is inclusive for existing employees.

Speaking of the new partnership between the two organisations, Humayun Islam, CEO of Muslim Friendly Employers, said: "Embracing diversity is not just a goal; it's our commitment. As CEO of Muslim Friendly Employers, partnering with Bradford City FC Community Foundation marks a pivotal step towards inclusivity. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with Regal Foods PLC to establish prayer and ablution facilities, embodying our ethos of accessibility and unity. Their generous contribution during Ramadan reflects our shared values, paving the way for a more inclusive workplace and community."

The Foundation has pledged to work closely with both MFE and Regal Foods PLC to offer provisions which benefit its Muslim employees year-round. These will extend, but are in no way limited, to flexible working hours allowing employees to fulfil religious needs and commitments; providing appropriate dietary options; and underlining its recruitment methods to remove unconscious bias.

Regal Foods PLC has stated: “Following on from our ongoing partnership with Bradford City AFC, we are thrilled to be joining Bradford City FC Community Foundation and Muslim Friendly Employers in creating positive spaces for all.  At Regal Food Products Group, we firmly believe in embracing all areas of diversity and to be continuing this journey out in the local community is fantastic.”

Faisel Ali, Director of Regal Group, added: “Last year we created a multi-faith prayer room at Valley Parade, and with a new partnership now in place, we are looking forward to creating a new facility at Bradford City FC Community Foundation with Muslim Friendly Employers. Our community is at the heart of everything we do and with that said, we couldn’t be prouder of our great city and the people who make it the inspiring place it is today.”

Ian Ormondroyd, Bradford City FC Community Foundation CEO, said: “We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and constructive place to work, and establishing a relationship with Muslim Friendly Employers underlines our commitment to offering employment opportunities to members of the Muslim community. We deliver consistently for our community, and are always seeking new ways to connect with people both internally and externally. This partnership gives us the tools to contour our entire operation, and ensure we provide a workspace which Muslim employees feel part, and proud, of.”
