  • 📢 Don’t Be a Bystander! Stand Up for Victims of Online Abuse! 🚫🤬 🌐 Hey there, friends! Today, we want to shed light on an important issue that affects many people in our online communities. It’s time to talk about online abuse and the role we can play in standing up for its victims. 🤝 We live in a digital world where our words and actions carry significant weight. Unfortunately, this power can sometimes be misused, leading to bullying, harassment, and discrimination online. The consequences can be devastating, affecting someone’s mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being. ⛔️ But here’s the thing: We don’t have to be passive bystanders. Each one of us has the ability to make a difference and create a safer and more inclusive online environment. It’s time to take a stand! 🤲 Let’s start by showing empathy and support to those who are experiencing online abuse. Reach out to the victims, let them know they’re not alone, and offer a listening ear. Your kindness can make a world of difference in their lives. 🔍 Educate yourself about different forms of online abuse, such as cyberbullying, hate speech, and doxxing. By understanding these issues, you’ll be better equipped to recognize them and intervene when necessary. ⚠️ If you witness online abuse happening, don’t just turn a blind eye. Speak up against it! Report abusive content to the platform administrators, and encourage others to do the same. Remember, silence only perpetuates the problem. 🌟 Lastly, let’s create a positive online culture by promoting respect, kindness, and inclusivity. Lead by example and treat others with dignity, both online and offline. Together, we can make the internet a safer place for everyone. 📣 Spread the word! Share this post and let your friends know that we won’t tolerate online abuse. By standing up for victims, we can foster a supportive and compassionate digital community. Let’s make a difference, one action at a time! 💪💙 #standupagainstonlineabuse #spreadKindnessOnline #digitalcommunitymatters #NGOs

  • Our representatives recently took part in a one-day Capacity Building Training for Frontline Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Service Providers. The training focused on transmitting GBV data into the GBV National Dashboard. This event was organized by the Gender Pillar of the Covid-19 Preparedness and Response (CoPREP) project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Human Services and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in Ekiti State. During the training, our representatives learned about the importance of accurate and timely data collection to effectively address gender-based violence in our communities. They also acquired practical skills on how to input data into the GBV National Dashboard, ensuring that critical information reaches the appropriate authorities and enables evidence-based decision-making. This knowledge will enhance our efforts in providing better support and services to survivors of GBV in our community. 25th April 2024. #GBV #CapacityBuilding #Training #CoPREP #EkitiState
