Compact, high-resolution, fast, and highly sensitive C-Mount camera

The DS-Fi3 is a high-resolution color microscope camera equipped with a 5.9-megapixel CMOS image sensor. Its high data readout speed, excellent color reproduction, and high quantum efficiency make it ideal for microscopic imaging for various applications such as brightfield, DIC, phase contrast, and fluorescence microscopy.

High-definition imaging

The DS-Fi3 is equipped with a 5.9-megapixel CMOS image sensor, enabling the capture of high-resolution images up to 2880 x 2048 pixels. With this new CMOS image sensor and high-speed data transfer via USB 3.0, the DS-Fi3 allows for fast focusing even with high-resolution imaging and efficient image acquisition using a variety of lighting techniques.

High sensitivity and low noise

The DS-Fi3 features significantly higher quantum efficiency and lower readout noise compared to conventional models. It enables the capture of brighter images with higher signal-to-noise ratios, particularly in fluorescence observation modes.

High-speed live display

Thanks to the high data readout speed of the CMOS image sensor and fast USB 3.0 data transfer, the DS-Fi3 generates live images at 15 frames per second at a resolution of 2880x2048 pixels and 30 frames per second at a resolution of 1440x1024 pixels. This allows for precise focusing via the camera image and navigating to selected sample positions using the camera image.

Excellent color reproduction

Nikon is renowned for its accurate color reproduction and development of excellent algorithms for faithful image reproduction. These algorithms are utilized in all color cameras of the Digital Sight series, including the DS-Fi3, ensuring outstanding color fidelity.

Direct PC connection

The DS-Fi3 allows direct connection to a PC via a USB 3.0 interface for camera control and image capture using NIS-Elements imaging software.
