About the author

Born in the United Kingdom, Sabrina Iqbal Khan spent her childhood in Fiji and Australia, the latter where she attended the remainder of her Primary School education through to Tertiary studies in Law.
Widely traveled, Sabrina has also lived in the Middle East and furthered her educational studies in Criminal Psychology (University of Queensland, Australia), Christian Theology (Harvard University, USA), and Learner Enabled Conversations (Imperial College of London). She continues in her journey of learning.
A Barrister to The High Court of Fiji, Sabrina led years of successful victories in Human Rights Law as a Senior Counsel in Fiji where she won the hearts of the Fijian Community through her Community Projects pertaining to Domestic Violence Awareness, Women Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation.
As a result, she was awarded a Medal of The Order of Fiji by Former-President and retired Major-General Jioji Konusi Konrote for her contribution to Fiji. In addition, she received The United Kingdom’s Lead5050 Award for International Champion of The Year.
Today, she continues to serve as Founder of The Fiji Rural Empowerment Network to empower and encourage women across Fiji who are single mothers, survivors of domestic violence and those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. She is married to Reverend Jonathan Sharma and lives in Australia with her son, where she continues to study Human Rights and write her Books.
