CIE at IIIT Hyderabad is a technology incubator with rich experience in seeding, nurturing, and growing deep-tech startups in emerging segments like med-tech, tech4social, visual informatics, data engineering, and machine learning, language technologies, gaming, and robotics. CIE IIITH, with a research-led innovation as its primary mandate, focuses on amplifying technology through research collaboration and co-creation models for startups to work with research groups at IIITH.
Under the CIE umbrella, there are 3 active incubators: deeptech incubator (Avishkar), the Medtech incubator (Ojas) & the social incubator (AIC). CIE also includes enabling labs like a well-equipped Maker Lab, a medical electronics calibration lab, and a AR/VR lab. IIIT Hyderabad also has Product Labs to seed new products from research, a pre-incubation program to seed startups from research.
In the past 14 years we have grown to be the largest academic incubator in the country, have housed over 450+ startups that have raised about 250+Cr funding, and created over 2500+ jobs. Today there are very active programs focused on emerging technology startups, research-based startups, medical technologies, and social technology startups.

The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad conducted the march edition of Demo Day. 12 startups from various programs pitched to over 50+ investors that were invited to the demo day. All 12 startups have interest from investors and conversations are on. Demo Day is an event where CIE-IIITH showcases its startups from its accelerator programs: Avishkar-DeepTech, Ojas-MedTech & Mediatech startups. The startups at this demo day were spread across solution realms from IOT-AI for Industrial automation, CV-based game data analysis, AR-VR-based virtual meeting platforms, and surveying.

CIE along with Microsoft organized The 42 AI Summit. where the Prominent Corporate Leaders shared their experience and industry wisdom with Hyderabad's AI Startups where 150+ startups, corporates, and incubators came together and participated and was anchored by Prof. Ramesh Loganathan.
The 42 Summit was a celebration of AI innovation in Hyderabad. To discover, showcase, and network. 4 panels, 16 panelists, and startups joined in reverse pitching.

Bootcamp was paneled by Mr. Rahul Bagga from Aumirah on the topics like copyrights, patents, trademarks, Industrial design, trade secrets, etc. More than 30 attendees joined the session and learned more about legal aspects.

12 STARTUPS PITCHED TO 50+ INVESTORS AT CIE IIIT HYDERABAD'S DEMO DAY
As many as 12 start-ups have pitched their products and solutions to over 50 investors at the semi-annual Demo Day conducted by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the International Institute of Information Technology (CIE-IIITH) on Wednesday.
The 14-year-old incubator has so far supported over 400 start-ups and provided seed fund to 25 start-ups.
The 12 deeptech start-ups represented the CIE’s three accelerator programmes – Avishkar-DeepTech, Ojas-MedTech, and Mediatech start-ups.
