I come to this region since 47 years already.
I come to this region since 47 years already. Sierre itself is a place with a very relaxed atmosphere. There is a castle - Chateau Mercier, access to Europ‘s longes cable car to Crans Montana, post bus to Valle d‘Anniviers some wine tour (I have no personal experience with) and plenty of restaurants for a 16k population place. Sierre can be accessed by train (my fav method). It is surrounded by majestic mountains and vineyards on the lower hill slopes. Most locals are friendly and the overall atmosphere is inviting for unwinding.WolfgangMalaysia - 8.0Scored 8.0
The town is really small, but its surroundings are beautiful...
The town is really small, but its surroundings are beautiful. (300 days of sun/year is also a great advantage!) Besides, the closeness to the ski stations and to nice walks in the summer are a huge plus. The festivals like the Sierre blues or the Tohu Bohu are some good occasions to come during summer time too. And of course, the vineyards and the wine cellars are a must to do. Le chateau Villa is the best discovery for a nice dinner if you're a cheese lover.CharlotteUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0

Sierre is the place I do most of my shopping or where I stay when travelling to/ from mountain locations. The Buffet de la Gare serves( opposite Sierre train station) serves a good cheeseburger and chips!AnnaBahrain

The views are amazing - the property is in amongst vineyards and orchards. There is no restaraunt, but there are multiple options within an easy 15 minute walk. Several options for 'home delivery' if your French is good enough! I thoroughly recommend this property for a visit if you are passing anywhere near Sierre. Breakfast is perfect also free coffee and fruits all day. The village is alright but the location between the mountains is perfect. Would absolutely recommend! Also the live music night was cozy and a great memory! I stayed here with my two daughters and we had a blast! We went to the lake nearby a lot. So absolute family proof!
