The One Next Door!

Sometimes life does not wait for us to be ready to take on more responsibility. Love will find a way to conquer our fears no matter how hard of a hard head we might have. Carter is a one-night hook-up kind of man and Zoe is older and wants to be a good mom for her son and leave her party life behind. I loved this book! I read it in one seating. Carter is perfect and although Zoe started a bit insecure she got her groove back. Well-developed characters with a lot of spice. Carter who believed himself to be a bachelor for life has been caught and Zoe who thought after her divorce all she had is her son, started hoping for more. I received a free copy of this book and decided to leave a review. I highly recommend this book.

Zoe and Carter’s story rounds out The Kane Brothers series. I absolutely adored their story. Each one is at different stages in their lives and trying to figure out what is next for them. Zoe is a divorced single mother of a six year old son starting over in their life. She had a wild past and she is joy ashamed of it. Carter is living the bachelor playboy lifestyle. He is co-own of his late father’s construction company with his twin brother. I love how their relationship naturally flowed together. Even thought Carter did his best to stay away their connection was hard to resist. They potential for them to have a great life together was worth the risks. The characters growth individually and as a couple was fantastic. I was rooting for them from the start. Highly recommended.

Zoe finally had a real home after her divorce. So when she runs into her neighbor and things go awkwardly, she thinks they won't be friends until he meets her son. He knows she needs help with her home and starts to realize that he wants to be everything they need. But can they find their way to a happily ever after?.

Zoe and Carter are next door neighbors but at different stages of life. She is a single mom to 6 year old Rex, trying to figure out her new normal after her divorce. He has achieved his dream - co-owning his late father’s construction company with his twin brother - and living the playboy life. They think they have nothing in common, but slowly they realize beyond the attraction they have for each other, they have the potential to build a life together. I loved Zoe’s character - she has a wild past that she is not ashamed of, even thought she knows she is not that person anymore.

I have read the first book in this series and liked it. You would not have to have read it to enjoy this book.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book is all sweetness – everything gets wrapped up tidily with a fairly simple straightforward plot and HEA. If you want angst, high drama and tension – this is not the book for you.

Unexpected Connection

Amelia Mae’s second book in her The Brothers Kane was simply wonderful. These two main characters, Carter and Zoe, have an instant physical attraction. But Carter being the playboy he is, never wanted to be in a relationship. Well, you know what they say about saying “never”. The characters were all very well written. This book is full of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense and steamy situations that was so riveting I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

I really enjoyed this book and series. I love how Carter evolves in this book and realizes who he really is. I loved how he stepped up and showed Rex how to be a kid when he didn't think he could. I loved Zoe never stop believing in herself and doing the right thing for Rex and also letting herself for in love again. Can't wait to read about the rest of the Kane Brothers.

Love Doesn't Wait

I LOVED these two. Loved how he was so ill prepared for a relationship but did such a 180 when he knew what was on the line. Next door neighbors turned friends turned lovers. Loved how they naturally fell and how their family came together.

Zoe is a single mother to Rex, precocious intelligent 6 year old child, divorced from her highly academic husband because he wanted to play the field and no longer loved her.
She works as a nurse and has left her wild earlier days behind. Desmond is highly critical when he chooses and does not understand his son needs a childhood despite his intellect. His behaviour to Zoe is unkind, driven by self indulgence.
Carter is younger, loves women, handsome and neighbour. Perfect on the outside, but has his own issues over commitment and relationships especially for a single mother.
Rex is older than his years, loved by both parents in their own ways, but has to learn to adjust in school because of the over achieving attitude encouraged by his father. He talks like a 40 year old, which is funny, but also sad because underneath it all is a loving young child who struggles with friends and socially.
Strong characters, testing lives and resilience attitudes.
