The Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce had an extraordinary year in 2023, marked by significant achievements and memorable events that showcased their commitment to fostering a thriving business community.

Energetic Board Members Bring Fresh Perspectives: The infusion of new, dynamic board members injected fresh energy and ideas into the chamber, fostering a dynamic environment for innovation and growth. Nrgy Abrams, Board Secretary, expressed the enthusiasm of the new Board Members, stating, "Our dynamic team is committed to driving positive change and fostering a thriving business community."

Denise Lawrence, Board Advisor, echoed this sentiment, adding, "Collaboration and innovation are at the heart of our approach. We're excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our members and the community."

Brand and Territory Launch in June: In June, the chamber achieved a milestone with the successful launch of its brand, website and expansion into new territories. This strategic move laid the foundation for increased outreach and engagement within the business community. Lolita Hampton, Director of Communications, shared her excitement, saying, "Our brand represents not just a geographic expansion but a commitment to creating a dynamic hub for businesses to connect and flourish."

Labor Day Pop-Up Festival in September: September brought joy and celebration with the successful Labor Day Pop-Up Festival. The event not only provided a platform for local businesses to showcase their products but also created a festive atmosphere that resonated with the community.

Grayson Fall Festival in October: The 1st Annual Grayson Fall Festival in October further solidified the chamber's connection to the community. The vibrant festivities and support from local businesses demonstrated the chamber's role as a catalyst for promoting economic growth and community spirit.

Candid Cafe w/Cris Launch in November: November witnessed the launch of Candid Cafe with Cris, a visionary initiative led by Cris Wright, Vice-President of Training and Development. Cris expressed, "We believe in creating spaces that foster collaboration and growth. Candid Cafe is not just a place; it's an experience where ideas come to life."

Color Purple Private Screening and Holiday Soiree in December: As the year draws to a close, anticipation is building for the Color Purple Private Screening and Holiday Soiree on December 23rd at NCG CINEMAS Snellville. This exclusive event promises to be a delightful culmination of the year, celebrating both business successes and the holiday spirit.

Tremendous Membership Growth: Roy Hudson, Treasurer, highlighted the tremendous membership growth, stating, "Our growing membership base is a testament to the value and support the chamber provides. We're proud to be the choice for businesses seeking to thrive."

Multi-Chamber Mixer and Future Collaborations: The chamber received an invitation to participate in this year's Multi-Chamber Mixer hosted by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, showcasing the collaborative spirit across regional business communities.

Derrick J. Wilson, President of the Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce, affirmed, "Our success lies in unity. As we wrap up this incredible year, we look forward to continued collaboration with other organizations and chambers in 2024."
