Happy New November to you 🌹 That time of the year is here again..... The much talked about Conference...... The Audacity Conference storms the internet with a much talked about and relevant topic" Closing the Gender representation Gap in Nation-building " I know we are all excited about this one... As we all know, the positive role of women in nation building is undeniable; however, a number of challenges have continued to limit women's chances at decision-making tables. Female representation in African parliaments and political institutions, for example, is lower than the global average of 26% and much lower than in America and Europe, which have 30 and 32%, respectively. Women Who Win Africa is taking a holistic approach to Close this Gap! It is critical to increase gender representation in nation-building in order to create a more inclusive and equal society. This will include: *Advocating for increased female political participation at all levels, as well as establishing mechanisms to address harassment and discrimination against women in politics, leadership, and public life. *Support women entrepreneurship, by promoting women's participation in business networks and provide access to capital, resources, and markets *Promote women's wellness, by providing quality sexual, reproductive, maternal, and mental health care and addressing gender-based violence To mention but a few...
