I'm not believing they deserve less than 4.5! I was an FCC licensed and ISCET certified radio technician before I retired and I know technical skills when I see it and if it wasn't for people with a knack for these things you whiners wouldn't be able to find your $#*! with both hands!

You know what I am pissed off that you guys think you have the right to screw with people. Me and my twin sister paid the money that one of your workers stupidly threw away our money order, so we had to re-pay you guys because of stupid workers and after we paid you want us to pay it again like really no because we did and if you guys don't want to get sued don't make people to keep paying for YOUR MISTAKE! So put the real bill on my sister bill or we will get a lawyer

US Cellular has reliable service that works across most of the country. I do a lot of traveling for business and I have coverage every place that others do. My reason for not giving a 5 star ranking is their website and support. Website is super slow and gives a lot of errors when looking up billing or phone usage. When calling customer support, their 1st level customer service just reads cookie cutter responses, so it takes 20+ min to finally get to someone with any skills. Twice I was told they would have to research and get back to me on the answer. Never heard from them again. If you don't need to look up anything on their website or call them, and you will be a very happy customer!

We always go pay our bill when we get it. The agent in spruce pine nc denies we gave her our cash payment. Ive talked to her manager she's backing her agent up which i expected because then she looks bad. Talked to supervisor at us cellular customer service and get told there's nothing they will do about it and they tell me I'll have to make the payment AGAIN! Got told when we first got the phone our bill should be around 190 something its always over $250 and seems to double and last month triple that amount. If you have to use this company i suggest you go with prepaid because they will take you to the cleaners.

Tip for consumers:
US cellular in spruce pine nc is a complete scam. The only good employee is Araceli!!!

Purchased the US Cellular international calling plan for a trip to Latin America in December of 2023. Upon arrival in Latin America couldn't make calls or send texts. Spent two hours with US Cellular tech support the first night of the trip trying to resolve the issue, but they had no answers. As a result, the phone was useless during the entire trip, save taking a few pictures. Time to look for a new carrier.

I have been with US Cellular for a while here in Hendersonville North Carolina and every month I have to go in and pay the bill so I set it up on automatic draft. 2 months ago or more. I got a bill yesterday said that I didn't pay so they charged me $25 extra. In January 17th I set it up with them again and it says the time to make the withdrawal was too short. Just how damn long does it take a month 2 months 3 months. They've had at least 60 days minimum. And they can't automatically withdraw yet. I've done this I don't know how many times and then they charge me $25 for non-payment they said it was my fault. They just took 25 more dollars out of my account if they are responsible for. When I give them permission and permission to do it over and over again and they still charge me a late fee or non-payment it's on them not on me,. They told me we're sorry that doesn't cut it when you're stealing out of my pocket. I set it up in Hendersonville North Carolina and again in Marion North Carolina and they still charged me $25. I would say two to three months is enough time for them to set it up. What does it take a year?

US Cellular has an international plan that is a joke. Didn't work at crucial times. Like GPS. When we left the airport in Germany, no GPS. We were stuck along the side of the road. Fortunately we had voice so my son, who lives in Germany, could guide us. But data would be dropped periodically. It couldn't be trusted. In fact the country we were in most of the time, Germany, was the worst.
Do not use this plan.

For anyone with questions and thinking about getting US Cellular's home hot spot, run! They do not explain anything to you properly. They give you 15 days to try it but don't tell you that it is not unlimited usage. So basically it works for 15 days but not at the end of the billing cycle. So mine stopped working after about day 20. Once I decided to take it back do to buffering and fuzzy screen they said I have to pay 350.00 to return it. Pulse they don't tell you there is a 35.00 restocking fee as well as a 30 activation fee! It's a complete scam to their customers.

Thank you for be anti military.This has been an absolute headache to get things in order before leaving. Things still aren't taking care of because you refuse to unlock a paid off phone. Thank you for showing your true colors. We are taking our 7 lines elsewhere now.

The month that I had us cellular, my phone consistently dropped calls and would not receive service in highly populated areas.

When I attempted to port my phone over to Verizon, the phone which I had from us cellular went into a locked status. When I called us cellular, they stated I would have to wait until I received my final bill in the mail and pay it before they would unlock my phone. Being that it was the beginning of my bill cycle, it will be longer than a month from the time that I ported my phone over to Verizon, that I receive my final bill. During this time, my I phone cannot receive or make calls.

I have ported phones over from other carriers in the past and have never had this issue.

I would not recommend using us cellular not only because of the bad cell reception, but also due to their restrictions which seem to penalize the user for switching to a different carrier.

Bought a prepaid phone to use at home with my wi-fi for a kid so they could watch Netflix and things like that. Apparently when you buy a prepaid phone in cash from them they will lock ur phone and will not unlock it unless you buy a plan. So now I have phone I can't use or even access anything on it because they put a lock on it and will only remove it if I buy a prepaid plan

I contacted U.S. Cellular before ordering home internet service, they said they have great coverage in my area. I hooked up equipment and it never worked well from day 1, always skipped and said searching for signal... this location i had this service was a vacation home and i only visited a few times a year, every time i would contact them and they would try to fix, but never got me to the right place and it never worked. I paid them for over a year, they gave me 71.33 back and said i should feel lucky they allowed me to return the lousey equipment... go with a different option, i now have starlink and it works fantastic! Good luck and beware, don't pay for U.S. Cellular!

they stole from me, don't pay them a dollar!

My husband and I got new phones a couple of months ago. First, they reversed the lines and it took several phone calls to get that corrected. Now, I have a bill for a different account tied to my phone numbers. Chat and phone calls with customer service are still unresolved. I am waiting to hear from a supervisor. In the meantime they threaten to cut off service unless that second bill is paid. These are our only phones. To make matters worse, it is too late to cancel the new phones without penalty.

It has been two weeks I have been trying to get a resolution without any success

I was told I had to pay off my $400 WiFi router so I did and then called to cancel my whole account with them and they told me everything was fine and the billing period had ended the day prior so we were done with everything and they would cancel our account. Flash 2 weeks later and we got a bill for $37 so I called customer service and because I called the day of the first billing period I have to pay for the whole next month even though I had my WiFi unplugged since noon that day because another company came over and installed their router. They said they credited us some money for that month but we would have to pay the remaining balance. I said that wasn't fair that we used it for 5 hours on the first day just to pay for a whole month when it wasn't even plugged in. They said they could see on their end I had used it the entire month. It was put back into the box that same day because we got better WiFi. No y'all I didn't plug in to use y'all's crap WiFi all month when I got better WiFi that's dumb. How can you see it on your end when I haven't used it. Bull crap. I said there has to be a way to wave the fee because that's not fair and he said that there was nothing they could do it was just unfortunate circumstance. They literally only care about money and acted like they were doing me a favor by saving me $2 that month. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. I've had previous encounters before about them messing my bill up and no one helped but I let it go because mistakes happen but seriously you can't wave your stupid fee

Just a terrible company, horrible service. And then you ask for a review when I finally leave and I try to to fill out the review but apparently I don't 'qualify' to leave a review. Like how is my opinion not valid when I paid $150 a month for 5 years for the worst phone service ever. I deserve that $10 gift card more than anyone considering you took $150 out of my account after I had called and canceled. $150 stolen because I had service from T-Mobile starting in June.

I was told you get $10 off per line for autopay and paperless billing! Not true called in 3 months in a row got money off the bill like they fixed it! WRONG called in the third month wrong PIN number can't help you bs and not $10 off! Liars!

I left a review with BBB. Us cellular gave me the same option. My screen was cracked. They said use the insurance that I've paid for to get replacement. I paid $100.00 for replacement only to have them tell me afterwards that my phone is not compatible with their towers. I can either get a replacement of the same phone which they said was not compatible or upgrade. Basically they gave me no option but to upgrade. Makes no sense except more $ in their pockets.

I wanted to know about the outage we just went through and called customer support. After a wait for tech support and giving my name, phone, acct holder, address three time. They would not help me they needed a pin #?
Log into out acct, look at bills and profiel - you guessed it, no pin.
USC refused to explain the outage.

I've been with US Cellular for decades and I've found their customer service to be amazing. Coverage is as good as anyone else's and the prices are better than anyone else that I've compared them to. Very close in price to T-mobile, but I've heard horror stories about their service. My only complaint is that like most carriers, they tend to offer the best deals to new customers to entice their business and the current customers have incentives but there always seems to be a catch. When you have issues, instead of dealing with the front line customer service agents, you may need to ask for a customer retention specialist as they are a bit more empowered to solve issues.

Tip for consumers:
Sire can be cumbersome but is vastly improved from before

I have to call EVERY month to figure out what is going on with my bill. When I signed up for all these deals they said my bill monthly would be $160 it has NEVER BEEN THERE always over 200 and more. The add hidden fees constantly. No one ever knows what is going on and can never fix it. If I weren't paying off phones I'd switch this place is a joke.

They really love chatting with me! Each month, I get the privilege of calling them to let them know the bill is about 50-80 inexplicable dollars more than it should be. They agree it's incorrect and keep "issuing" me credits, promising me they'll finally appear on the next bill to compensate for their error. Month after month, I have yet to see this take effect. I'm in over $200 of back-owed credits from them after less than 4 months of being a customer - hopefully you can use that as some type of metric. I'm optimistic and hoping for the best next bill but their performance thus far leaves me doubtful.

I think once our phones are paid off, I'll be running into the sunset screaming. Honestly, who operates a business like this?

You can disregard everything they tell you because it likely won’t be true.

Overall the service is *ok* as long as you NEVER travel anywhere or lord forbid you have iffy weather. There "fast" data is nice whenever it decides to actually work. I can have full bars service and you can't load anything! Waiting for a new month to reset your gigs doesn't matter! It never works anymore!

These people are not to be believed watch there wording anyone who can ok payment arrangements and take from your account anyway even though arrangements were made is a company I have no use for thank you Hailey from US CELLULAR so long story short don't trust US CELLULAR
