To participate in our events, you must be a West Bloomfield, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake, or Keego Harbor resident.
No commercial or business waste, electronics, or shredding is accepted.

Spring: Friday, May 19, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at the Oakland County Farmers Market, 2350 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Limit of four (4) boxes of Paper Only - No commercial customers
Fall: Friday, September 8, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at the Oakland County Farmers Market, 2350 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Limit of (4) boxes of Paper Only - No commercial customers

What is Hazardous Waste?
- Products containing toxic chemicals like cleaning products, solvents, pesticides, oil-based paints, and weed killers.
- Batteries, Light bulbs, fire extinguishers & smoke alarms.

Why shouldn't Hazardous Waste be disposed of with your trash or flushed down the toilet or sink?
- These products can be a threat to living beings
- These products can pollute the air, water, and soil
- Proper disposal requires an operating license for the treatment, storage, and disposal of HHW.
- Look for keywords on containers such as "Danger", "Caution", "Poison", "Flammable", "Corrosive" or "Use in Well Ventilated Area".
- Helps homeowners prevent identity theft, rid clutter, and fire hazards, as well as protect the environment.
- Shredding unnecessary papers and documents helps to reduce the number of trees needed for the paper.
- Shredded paper is recycled to make more paper.
