Dzongri Trek is a fantastic short trek in Sikkim. It takes five to six days to hike from Yuksom West Sikkim (India) to Dzongri and back again.

From where and how to plan for Dzongri Trek in 2022?

Dzongri Trek Itinerary;

  1. Day 1: Pickup, Drive from New Jalpaiguri Railway station / Bagdogra Airport to Yuksom. The total distance covered is 150 km. It can take 6 to 7 hours. Altitude 136 meters to 1,780 meters. (Check-In at Hotel or homestay in Yuksom)
  2. Day 2; Yuksom to Tshoka. Distance: 16 kilometers. Time 5 to 6 hours. Altitude from 1780 meters to 3080 meters. (Camping )
  3. Day 3: Tshoka to Dzongri. Distance: 10 kilometers. Time 5 to 6 hours. Altitude from 3080 meters to 4000 meters. (Camping )
  4. Day 4: Dzongri Sightseeing (Dzongri Top, Dzongrilla Pass, Laxmi Lake )
  5. Day 5: Dzongri to Tshoka ascend via the same route you have climbed.
  6. Day 6: Ascend to Yuksom from Tshoka via the same route. Stay at a hotel or homestay.
  7. Day 7: Departure
