Nearly 30 police patrol cars led on high-speed chase from PJ to Cyberjaya


PETALING JAYA: Nearly 30 police patrol cars were involved in a high-speed chase with a Perodua Bezza from here to Cyberjaya on Monday (Dec 4).

Two video clips of the chase have been making its rounds on Facebook and WhatsApp.

One of the videos shows a dark coloured car speeding along the road with at least eight patrol cars pursuing it.

Another clip believed to be taken from a high-rise building shows the car being chased by more police vehicles.

It is learnt that the car was driven by a woman with three men inside when police approached the suspects’ vehicle in Petaling Jaya.

The suspects sped off as soon as they noticed police tailing them.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid confirmed the incident, adding that they have made arrests linked to the video.

"We will issue a press statement soon on the incident," he added.
