Enjoy Food, Feel Good, Live Well

Food is good. Eating is fun. Food is the center of our lives. It should be an enjoyable experience, one to be shared with others. Food brings friends and families together. Food is a reason for celebration, it is a window into a culture, it is a precious memory of generations past.  We love food!

Food should taste good, and it should make you feel good before, during, and after eating it. The food you eat should make your body strong, your brain sharp, and your taste buds happy. Proper food habits help you to reduce your risk of major health problems. The strategies for healthy eating are very basic but they need to be applied appropriately to be effective for your health.

The problem is that too many people are digging their grave (building disease) with their fork.  S.A.D. (Standard American Diet) but true.  Many of us are so busy or uncertain what to do, that we don’t make eating healthy or taking care of ourselves a priority.  This is undeniably ruining our health, which affects all aspects of our lives.

To be healthy, one needs to understand why it is important to know where food comes from, the impact of nutrition has on our health, have a general knowledge of how the body works, learn about the priority sequencing when it comes to creating health/disease and how to implement healthy eating habits.

The body has an intelligence and was designed for health; it doesn’t need to be outsmarted.  Well-being is the body’s natural state.   The question is… does your diet and lifestyle support health or support disease?  There is a cause-and-effect relationship in the body and both health and disease need to be built.  If you want to learn more about food and cooking, deepen your understanding of how the body works and become more confident to implement healthier habits, then register now.

In this series we will celebrate the act of eating in the hope that it brings joy and good health to your life.
