As a former mentee, the JETAADC Mentorship Program was an incredibly helpful and highly rewarding experience for me. This program serves to bring the JET alumni community together by creating meaningful professional development relationships between recent returnees and mid-to-senior-level career professionals. The JETAADC Mentorship Program is designed to provide mentees with the tools, resources, and networks that they can use to advance their careers in U.S.-Japan relations and to assist them during an uncertain job market. The 2024 Strait Talk GW Symposium is now accepting applications! Strait Talk is the world’s first initiative that enables connections between young leaders from both sides of the Taiwan Strait with the goal of moving toward peace and understanding through a non-partisan dialogue workshop. The 2024 Strait Talk GW Symposium will be held in person in Washington, DC, from May 24-26, 2024. Delegates will participate in dialogues facilitated by leading scholar-practitioners in conflict resolution and interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. A travel stipend is available to accommodate delegates with financial constraints. However, delegates are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and meals throughout the duration of the three-day symposium. Applications close on Sunday, March 24, 2023, 11:59 PM EST. I had the opportunity to participate in the 2023 Strait Talk GW Symposium at The George Washington University. It was an invaluable experience where I learned immensely from my fellow delegates.
