This Managerial Psychology Virtual Sample class with Prof. Linda Ginzel will focus on the dynamics of individual and group behavior in the workplace. In this session, we learn how to “think like a social psychologist” by better understanding of the power of the situation. Topics include: person vs. situation, insight and action skills, behavioral defaults, personal choice, and change.

Clinical Professor of Managerial Psychology, Prof. Linda Ginzel, has been on the Chicago Booth faculty since 1992. She specializes in negotiation skills, managerial psychology, leadership and executive development. She has won numerous teaching awards across all the programs at Booth: the 2011 Faculty Excellence Award, the Inaugural Global Hillel J. Einhorn Excellence in Teaching Award in 2013, named an Impact Professor by the class of 2014, and received the Hillel J. Einhorn Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019 and 2021. By popular vote, Ginzel received the Phoenix Award from the class of 2020. In 2022, she was recognized as the faculty member who best demonstrates excellence in teaching at Booth with the Emory Williams Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching.
