Ruth D'Alessandro will be talking about WDC Gwen Crockford, Berkshire's first ever woman detective in the 1950s based in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Framed around March being Women's History Month, Ruth will discuss how agent Crockford inspired her, not only as a trailblazing women in her career, surpassing contemporary societal expectations around women, but also as a mother.

A riveting talk for local history enthusiasts, women's emancipation supporters and lovers of crime focused novels. This is the event for you!
