Course 1:
Beginner-Intermediate spans 5 weekends and and encompasses all apparatuses. It includes 48 hours of lecture, 15 hours of anatomy, 8 hours of supplemental coursework, 200 hours combined of observation, volunteer teaching, and personal practice, and testing; both written and practical. This course is led by
Randi Whitman, whose expertise is rooted in 25 years of experience teaching and certifying Pilates instructors. Randi studied at the renowned
Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado, and prior to her Pilates career, Randi was a professional dancer and earned a BFA in Dance and Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin. She is also a certified massage therapist and holds several certifications in the fitness industry. With this diverse background, Randi is an invaluable resource for students. Participants will also will also benefit from the insights of experienced guest instructors who will also serve as individual mentors.
- Weekend 1: January 11th, 12th
- Weekend 2: February 8th, 9th
- Weekend 3: March 15th, 16th
- Weekend 4: April 5th, 6th
- Weekend 5: May 3rd, 4th
Please note that students are required to attend each day of each weekend. Each applicant is required to complete an in-person observed lesson and brief interview. Once accepted, we will send you the link to register and pay a $300 non-refundable deposit for the Beginner- Intermediate course. At that time, students will have the opportunity to register for the Advanced course which will be held over four weekends starting in September.( Dates TBD) While registration for the Advanced course is optional, completing this additional training is highly recommended. It provides essential knowledge and skills that build upon the Beginner-Intermediate course, ensuring a more comprehensive understanding of Pilates. By advancing your education, you’ll deepen your expertise and enhance your capabilities as an instructor, ultimately leading to a more successful and fulfilling teaching career. The Advanced course is designed to equip you with the tools necessary for a well-rounded Pilates Instructor certification, making it an invaluable next step in your professional development.
