The food here is so delicious! I always get the chicken kabob with rice and pita bread and it amazing! The service is so amazing and everyone is so friendly. Definitely recommend if in the area!

I can't stop raving about Shayan Express Restaurant! The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel like honored guests. But the real star of the show was the food - a true celebration of Persian cuisine. Every bite was a delight, from the creamy hummus to the flavorful kabobs. The ambiance was a perfect blend of elegance and tradition, with intricate Persian artwork and soft lighting creating a cozy atmosphere. This place has the best Persian food hands down in LA. The service was amazing with a great smile. Very large portions as well. The area and neighborhood may be questionable but this is a hidden gem. They could easily open in a much more affluent neighborhood but the food is delicious. We didn't experience anything bad in the area at all, everyone was nice and smiling, but probably best for to-go and not dine in atmosphere but you will not be disappointed. We will definitely go here again as our new regular Persian food stop. They are also proudly 100% Halal. I love the authenticity and when people are proud of their heritage. You can feel it in the food and makes it taste that much more delicious. It's so much better than places that are not Halal or try to hide it because of an inferiority complex.

We had a very large order for our film shoot and not only did they have it ready on time, not only did everyone love the food, but when we arrived to pick it up the streets were INSANELY packed and we couldn't park so they carted the entire order down to the curb for us. The order was completely correct too. Not sure that's ever happened. Highly recommend.

Exploring the little-known Persian restaurants of Los Angeles, I recently made an interesting discovery - Shayan Express. Located in the primarily Latino Fashion District of Los Angeles. This is the first Persian restaurant I've been to that plays Bachata and serves Quesadillas on the menu. I ordered the boneless chicken kebab and was blown away by how tender and juicy the chicken was. The flavor was incredible and the portion size was generous. I also had the opportunity to sample some of the other dishes, such as the beef koobideh, which was equally delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Shayan Express. Not only was the food great, but it was a unique experience to see a primarily Latino customer base enjoying Persian food with Bachata playing over the sprakers.. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good resturant in the Fashion District.

We have ordered from shayan express for many years the food is amazing and the service is great!

Wanted to love it, but unfortunately the filet mignon was extremely tough. The rice, hummus, and grilled veg were solid but the filet mignon was difficult to chew through.

I'm a bit hesitant to retry but if I had to give any advice, maybe skip the filet mignon and get the beef and chicken koobideh instead?

Best food to eat in down town LA the hummus is amazing my favorite plate is the #1 chicken kabob they also have a good chicken quesadilla but they started to make it very small
