Description

M32-Q for MIDAS M32 Digital Mixing Console

M32-Q adds full iPhone or iPod Touch personal monitor mixing capabilities to the M32 Digital Mixer. With M32-Q musicians can control their own stereo monitor mix with full access to all 32 input channels individually or through the M32's MCA (Mix Control Association) faders. Each band member can group inputs to four MCAs allowing for one-fader control over a group of channels, greatly simplifying the mix during performance.

Setup is simple – just connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to the same wireless network as the M32; no additional hardware, no computer and no hassles. And, with no specific limit on the number of users, M32-Q will allow everyone in the band to take control of their own mix.

KEY FEATURES

* Select the Mix Bus for your Personal Stereo Monitoring Control from iPhone/iPod Touch
* Assign any combination of inputs to four available MCA (mix control association) Faders
* MCA's allow concurrent trimming of all assigned signals with just one fader:
--more me--less band--more click track--less percussion ...the choice is yours!
* Control all Channel Send Levels for Inputs 1 – 32
* Control all Auxiliary Input 1 – 8 and 4 Stereo Effects Return Sends to Bus Mixes
* Meter all Input Channel levels for visual feedback
* Connect multiple iPhone/iPod Touch units simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a wireless router connected to the M32 Digital Mixer.

Needs Update for new iOS

This app is not optimized for the new iOS. I had to get a new phone in the last two weeks so I got the new iPhone 11. The app works but the labels for the channels are all missed up and shifted so you can’t see them at all. Thankfully, I’m pretty familiar with our church’s set-up so I was able to adjust but it would be helpful to have an update for the app so that if our church ever adjusts any channels or anything I can follow those changes with them. I’ve been using this app for a few years and do have occasional problems with connection or speed of the app doing what I’m asking it to do.

Using for x32

While I’m frustrated at the lack of support for the x32 app and no updates to that app... I can’t complain that much. This app works great! It does everything we need it to do. Saves us so much time and hassle with our in ear mixes. The only issue I’m having is using the app on older iPads. The group selection doesn’t show up on the left side. Not a big deal because most of the team and I use phones anyway.

I’m worried that at some point this app won’t work anymore either. But until then I give 5 stars.

Channel labels lost on iOS 13

I’m using this app to to dial in my in-ear monitor mix. Last weekend everything worked as expected. This week my phone updated to iOS 13 and when I went to use the app, I noticed all of the channel labels are blank. I had to ask a band mate to tell me what each channel was. Can you please update this app to fix this? Another good feature to have would be the ability to save a mix preset in the app so that it’s easier to pull up a close mix after another performer may have used your channel in another performance.
