Let's look at some recent evidence: Earnings reports from the likes of Walmart companies show that more sellers are taking advantage of retailers fulfillment services and Retail Media dAvertising => Walmartโs 2024 eCommerce business topped the $100 billion mark, on an annualized basis, growth was up about 23% overall โ was driven in part by growth in its marketplace, which had 20% more sellers than a year ago. International eCommerce sales gathered 44%, led by marketplace. Advertising has been strong due in part to growth in sponsored ads. And its not just the big US behemoths: the likes of Superdrug and Musgrave MarketPlace in the UK and Ireland have marketplaces.
