IN THEIR OWN WORDS - CAROLINA GARCIA

"Having access to CHIE definitely saves me time

This month we spoke to Carolina Garcia, Senior Social Worker at Hampshire County Council. Read more about how Carolina uses CHIE here.

THE VIEW FROM HERE - FINDING OUT

I recently gave a talk to my GP surgery on the use of CHIE in our practice. It has been great to hear CHIE popping up as a source of information to use in our normal workflow. It was also interesting to note how many of the avid users were not aware of the information on there that they hadn’t yet discovered. For example, did you know that some mental health and palliative care notes are under the summary view menu item on the left hand menu? Or did you consider looking on CHIE for hospital radiology reports that your surgery wouldn’t have received. Sometimes this information can be very useful.

As mentioned in our headline news, we are now holding regular CHIE drrop-In sessions for those keen to find out more about CHIE./ If you have any questions this is the space to ask!

Dr Emma Davis, GP and CHIE Clinical Lead

TOP TIP: INFORMATION GOVERNANCE

This is a reminder that you should not use CHIE to look at your own records, those of family members or any others, without a legitimate reason to do so.

If you are unsure about whether you should look at a particular record, please seek advice from your manager first.

CHIE contains information that is sensitive even amongst other professionals and family members. Please think carefully before further disclosing the information that you have accessed.

OVERVIEW SESSIONS
