ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2024 is back!
Ready for a thrilling journey into the world of digital skills? Join the ICDL Asia Digital Challenge and showcase your talents! You have the opportunity to compete with candidates across 28 countries from the Asia-Pacific region.

Competition Rules

The Digital Challenge is open to the following student categories:
  • Primary (recommended 9 – 12 years old)
  • Secondary (recommended 13 – 17 years old)
  • Tertiary (recommended 18 – 25 years old)
1. Participants register with Danawa Education Sdn Bhd - ICDL Accredited Test Centre, pay the entry fee of RM250 per person.

2. Round 1 (Preliminary Round):
  • Participants complete the learning for the Application Essentials module.
  • Participants book a test session for the Certification Test with Danawa Education Sdn Bhd (Note: To qualify for the competition, last date for testing will be 31 May 2024).
  • Top 2 participants - with the highest score and shortest time - from each school or institution will represent their respective schools/institutions in Round 2, National Round, competing with other schools and institutions across Malaysia.
3. Round 2 (National Round):
  • Participants choose a competition track (i.e. Business, Design, or Emerging Technologies).
  • Participants complete the learning for their chosen module(s), prior to the Certification Test(s) on 18 July 2024, 2pm (GMT+8) which will be conducted by ICDL Asia.
  • Top 2 to 4 participants - with the highest score and shortest time - from Round 2, National Round will represent Malaysia in the Grand Final, competing against other participants from various Asian countries.
4. Round 3 (Grand Final):
  • ICDL Asia unveils the Grand Final project theme before/on 12 August 2024.
  • Participants complete the Grand Final project based on their chosen competition track, and submit their projects via email to ICDL Asia by 6 September 2024.
  • The Grand Final winners will be announced during an Awards Ceremony in conjunction with ICDL Asia Digital Literacy Day 2024, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday 27 November 2024.
