I have eye strain using iPhone 14 pro

Hello

I changed iPhone 12 to iPhone 14 pro, and I have eye strain.

Based on googling, someone has same symptom when moving from LCD smartphone to OLED smartphone. But I had used OLED smartphone like iPhone 12 and samsung galaxy s10 5g, I had not had this symptoms. And I found iphone 14 Pro and galaxy s10 5g have almost same PWM (240).

Now I think refresh rate cause this symptom, 60Hz to 120Hz. However, watching a Youtube video in iPhone 14 Pro without scrolling the screen, which is fixed in 60fps, I have had same symptoms only with iPhone 14 Pro.

Are there any other issues that come to mind? Or is it because I have not got used to new iPhone? Please let me know if you know a solution or have had a similar experience. Or some experience that you have similar symptoms but get better over time.

Probably not pwm, but temporal dithering. Check ledstrain.org

Apple and others compete on "most colorful" screen and probably do some tricks with software to make the eye believe there are billion of colors....a lot of people have similar symptoms, mainly headaches...

There are a lot of complaints regarding headache and nausea feeling for all phones which are produced since two years. It probably has something to do that phone brands are competig on the best screen, and have some sort of trick done in the connection between the graphic cards and the screen (colors). I tested 15 phones and the Apple 14 gives me the less headache.
