In this short film, five independent creative practitioners respond to and reflect on Arts Council England’s Investment Principles. They discuss how each Investment Principle is interacting with and influencing their respective practices, and the opportunities and challenges they present.

The creatives are:

Priya Mistry aka whatsthebigmistry is a multidisciplinary artist, socially engaged practitioner and creative producer straddling dance, performance, visual, performance and live art.

Jamie Hale is an award-winning theatre maker, poet, (screen)writer, charity CEO and founder and Artistic Director at CRIPticArts. 

Hetain Patel is a London based artist and filmmaker exploring identity and freedom, using choreography, text and popular culture.

Larry Achiampong employs film, still imagery, aural and visual archives, live performance, objects and sound to explore ideas surrounding class, gender, cross-cultural and digital identity.

Lisette Auton is a disabled, neurodivergent, working-class, Tees Valley multidisciplinary artist based in Darlington, working in the field of literature as a novelist, dramatist, activist, creative practitioner, filmmaker and performer.
