More snow expected during the morning commute in South-Central Pennsylvania
KIND OF LIKE THIS ONE. WE’LL KEEP YOU POSTED AS THINGS DEVELOP HERE. NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST. TODAY WE HAVE AN ALERT MORNING FOR YOU WITH THAT LIGHT SNOW FALLING TAPERING BY NOON 28 DEGREES THIS MORNING. SO EVEN THOUGH ROADS MAY LOOK WET, ESPECIALLY IF THEY’RE TREATED, TREAT THEM AS IF THEY COULD BE ICY BECAUSE THERE COULD STILL BE A LOT OF SLICK SPOTS FOR THE AFTERNOON. TURNING BREEZY, BLOWING AND DRIFTING MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH THAT BREEZE. THIS IS A VERY FINE POWDER. LIGHT SNOW. IT’S SPARKLY. LOOKS REALLY PRETTY OUT THERE, BUT AS WINDS PICK UP IT COULD BLOW AND DRIFT, ESPECIALLY IN RURAL AREAS. THIS EVENING, CLEARING SKIES, FEELING LIKE THE TEENS ALREADY. AND TONIGHT WE HAVE IMPACTS BECAUSE WIND CHILLS COULD BE NEAR ZERO. IT IS GOING TO BE DOWNRIGHT FRIGID, ESPECIALLY WITH THAT FRESH BLANKET OF SNOW TEMPERATURES IN THE TEENS. A LITTLE BIT OF A BREEZE REALLY DROPS THOSE WIND CHILLS TOMORROW, CHILLS NEAR ZERO IN THE MORNING, AND AT BEST, CHILLS IN THE TEENS IN THE AFTERNOON. CHECK OUT THE HIGHS TOMORROW. STAYING IN THE 20S. RIGHT NOW IT’S 23. IN SELINSGROVE. THE SAME IN LEBANON. WE HAVE 25 YORK, 26. IN LANCASTER. WIND SPEEDS NOT MUCH TO SEE RIGHT NOW, BUT I THINK EARLY AFTERNOON THEY START TO PICK UP OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AT 10 TO 20MPH, AND THAT WILL CAUSE THAT BLOWING AND DRIFTING TOMORROW, WINDS WILL BE COMING AT YOU OUT OF THE WEST. STILL AT 10 TO 20MPH. CHECKING OUT OUR STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK, WE ARE SEEING A LITTLE LULL IN THE ACTION, BUT LOW PRESSURE WILL BE DEVELOPING OFFSHORE. THAT WILL KIND OF REINVIGORATE THE SNOW. BRING IT RIGHT BACK IN HERE. IN ADDITION, IT COULD FUNNEL IN SOME WARM AIR IN THE LOW LEVELS OF OUR ATMOSPHERE, AND WE COULD SEE SOME OF THIS MIX THAT’S COMING ACROSS THE EASTERN SHORE, PARTS OF DELAWARE AND JERSEY TRYING TO EDGE INTO SOUTHERN LANCASTER COUNTY. SO WE’LL KEEP AN EYE ON THAT. BUT THAT WOULD BE TOWARD THE TAIL END OF THE STORM. SO YOU CAN SEE HERE WE STILL HAVE SOME SNOW AROUND AT 10:00 THIS MORNING. BUT BY THE TIME WE HIT NOON, MOST OF THAT SNOW IS TAPERING. LAST FEW FLURRIES FLYING AROUND 1:02 P.M. CLEAR GOING TOWARD EVENING, CLEAR AND COLD TONIGHT. AND THEN WE GET THAT SUNSHINE IN HERE TOMORROW. SO WE ARE STILL SET FOR OUR 2 TO 5 INCH RANGE ACROSS MUCH OF THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, A COATING TO TWO FARTHER NORTH AND WEST, AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT THE PREDICTOR, FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES, THOUGH. THIS IS TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW, AND IT CERTAINLY LOOKS COLD. WE ARE ONLY GOING TO SEE WIND CHILLS IN THE TEENS AFTER STARTING OUT NEAR ZERO TOMORROW, SO THAT’S WHY WE HAVE THE IMPACTS FOR YOU THERE TOMORROW. ON THURSDAY A LITTLE BETTER 32 AT LEAST IT WON’T BE WINDY. CLOUDS INCREASE THOUGH, AND ON FRIDAY WE HAVE A CHANCE FOR SOME LIGHT SNOW RETURNING BEHIND THAT SYSTEM. REGINA IT GETS BLUSTERY ON SATURDAY. WE’RE DOWN TO 24 FOR THE HIGH FRIDAY. WIND CHILLS IN THE TEENS. SUNDAY IS A LITTLE BETTER AND BY NEXT WEEK YOU’LL BE SAYING WHAT SNOW WE’LL B
