UPDATES FROM CBABC & LSBC
The new Legal Professions Act will propose one regulator for lawyers, notaries and paralegals. But will this new model meet the test of lawyer self-regulation and sufficiently protect the independence of the Bar? How will this impact the way legal services are delivered? If you haven't had time to learn about the regulatory changes, now you can hear from your regulator and your association.
Jeevyn Dhaliwal, K.C., President, Law Society of BC
Scott Morishita, President, Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch
1:00pm-2:00pm | SUCCESSION PLANNING & YOUR FUTURE
Before you leave your practice, LSBC requires you to follow guidelines to ensure that practice coverage is in place and your client's interests are protected. Join Garth Wright for an in-depth discussion on how to make this transition, key considerations, and the tools and resources available to help you take this step.
