🇺🇸 In this study, you will be invited to cooperate with a firefighting robot to extinguish fires in trees. Your role will be to ensure that the water tank used to recharge the robot is full, and to choose to tele-operate or give the robot permission to act alone (autonomous navigation mode). Throughout the experience, we will record the movement of your eyes using an eye tracker and your physiological activity using an electrocardiogram. Occasionally, the robot may ask to navigate alone, switching to automatic mode on its own. It will always comply with your decision, but if you take too long to decide, the robot will consider the lack of response as consent to become autonomous. Your objective as a team is to extinguish as many fires as possible. This experiment was approved by the ethics committee under number 2023_747
🇫🇷 Dans cette étude, vous serez conviés à coopérer avec un robot pompier pour éteindre des foyers d'incendie dans des arbres. Votre rôle sera de vous assurer que le réservoir d'eau qui sert à recharger le robot soit plein, et de choisir de téléopérer ou donner au robot la permission d'agir seul (mode de navigation autonome). Tout au long de l'expérience, nous enregistrerons le mouvement de vos yeux à l'aide d'un oculomètre et votre activité physiologique à l'aide d'un électrocardiogramme. Occasionnellement, le robot peut demander à naviguer seul, en passant de lui-même en mode automatique. Il se conformera toujours à votre décision, mais si vous mettez trop de temps à vous décider, le robot considérera l'absence de réponse comme un consentement à devenir autonome. The blue square on the map indicates the location of the external water storage tank, where the robot must park to fill its internal tank. Battery charging and water refilling are done automatically while the robot is within the boundaries of the squares
🇫🇷 Ici nous avons des informations de la carte, elle indique la position du robot (flèche noire) la position des arbres et lesquels sont en feu. En haut à droite de la carte nous avons l'espace pour recharger le robot, représenté par un carré rouge. Le carré bleu sur la carte indique l'emplacement du réservoir externe de stockage d'eau, où le robot doit se garer pour remplir son réservoir interne, lorsque le robot se trouve sur les carrés rouge et bleu respectivement.
