Kajang cops seeking duo who beat up convenience store worker

PETALING JAYA: Police are on the hunt for two men who beat up a convenience store worker here on Tuesday (June 20).

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said that a report of the attack was made on the same day at 7.43am.

"The complainant was working at the convenience store outlet in Semenyih when two men went in around 5am.

"One of the two suspects tried to take three umbrellas without paying.

"The victim reprimanded the suspect, which led to an argument.

"He left but returned later and punched the victim in the face," he said.

Both suspects then left the premises and the victim sought treatment for his injuries.

"Efforts to trace down the suspects are underway," he said.

A video of the attack was also posted on social media.

The one-and-a-half minute video shows a man in a green shirt attacking the worker. He then takes photos of the injured victim lying on the ground.

A second suspect is also seen talking to the injured worker and arguing with the victim's colleague.

One of the suspects also took a selfie with the victim who can be seen bleeding from the nose. The photo also went viral.
