Story
Running and Mental health have been heavily linked for me now for over 10 years. When I was in my darkest moments in my previous relationship Mind UK and running both helped me through some really tough moments. Throughout lockdown we can allllllll relate to mental health struggles we all suffered from in its different forms. It’s a subject that I now don’t like to shy away from and I know a lot of my colleagues in the travel industry had a very tough time.
I have raised money before running Half Marathons for Mind UK which is a fantastic charity. So here I go again but this time taking on my biggest challenge yet...
This is why as I embark on running the furthest distance I have ever run (also ticking off a bucket list event for me) I am looking to raise the most money I have ever raised before.... £2k! After 3 knee surgeries on my both ACL's and Lateral Ligaments running this distance will be my biggest physical, as well as mental challenge I have faced.
Please help me by donating to this fantastic charity helping combat the stigma around mental health and men in particular opening up about their emotions!
If you can also on the day, come out in force to help me over that finish line in supporting around London I would be for ever grateful! I know my partner Kim is already organising a route to see me around the course and more importantly a pub for us to meet in at the end!
If you can donate any money to this wonderful chairty that would be great, the link is below.
Cheers
