Who we are

There is a massive opportunity gap between the rich and the poor. This gap is what prevents children of the poor in particular from path-changing programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). To help bridge this gap, Appropriate Development Technology offers STEM-related subjects to create opportunities for students in the future to help them become future engineers and scientists. According to Mckinsey’s (May 25, 2021) report, there has been no progress toward income or wealth equality between Black and white households in the United States since 1950.

Bridge the digital and the economic divide by leveraging technology: To bridge income inequality, we offer STEM classes to under-privileged students and vocational training to disadvantaged adults. We leverage technology by offering STEM-related education in disadvantaged neighborhood libraries, YMCAs, community centers, churches, parks, and our own technology center.

The primary focus is to encourage underprivileged children (9-14) to become future engineers and scientists and to break the cycle of poverty.
