BETA Wednesday is here once again! This is BETA test for version 4.1
How to sign up?
If you own an Android device, you'll have a button at the bottom of the Google Play Store page that will allow you to join the BETA program, after that, you will be able to download the new client. The server will have a snapshot of the live server, so you will be able to log in with your account and play with your usual characters.
If you are on an iOS device, you'll need to download the app TestFlight and use the invite link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/MlIsjtM7
IMPORTANT: Please note that if you attempt to change your password through the Beta version of the game, your copied account won’t be accessible. If that happens to you, you can only play with a new account.
For anyone who would like to go back to the live version of the game, here are a few steps you can follow:
iOS
- Step 1: On your iOS device, tap the TestFlight app.
- Step 2: From the TestFlight dashboard, tap the Celtic Heroes
- Step 3: Click on the bottom of the menu, under Developer, the “Stop Testing” button
- Step 4: Install the live version of the game from the AppStore over the Beta version
If the above steps do not work for you, please try to uninstall the game altogether and re-install it.
Android
- Step 1: Open the Play Store.
- Step 2: At the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Step 3: Tap Manage apps & devices. Beta.
- Step 4: Find Celtic Heroes app
- Step 5: Tap the app to open its detail page.
- Step 5: Under “You're a beta tester," tap Leave. Leave.
- Step 6: Uninstall and re-install the app from the Play Store
IMPORTANT:
Please note that in order to join the Beta Test, if you are an iOS user, you do not need to uninstall the live version. You can just install the Testflight over the currently installed game and can also go back by just installing again the AppStore version over the Beta version.
For Android users, it’s similar, but not quite the same. You can install the Beta version over the current live version of Celtic Heroes, but if you wish to go back to the live one, you will need to uninstall the Beta.
In that regard, please check if your account is linked to either Facebook, Game Center etc. and if it’s not, please link it, otherwise, once you re-install the game, you may lose your progress!
What would be included in the Beta test?
To put it simply, the more time you spend on the test servers and the more actions you perform, the better. More specifically, here are some things that will be available for testing:
- The main questline extension will include more details about Crom’s influence on the mortal world. New powerful foes will be trying to infiltrate the peace within Lir’s reach. They will be featuring 5 new main quests related to the main storyline continuations and 2 repeatable quests - 1 daily and 1 weekly.
- The Treasure Hunters event will feature Dhioutu minions assault within Lir’s reach. It will be gathering its minions in his arena along with a few dragons and trolls already making their present within the Northwest shore of Lir's Reach.
That’s not all! Apart from the above, the event itself will feature 3, 4, 5, and 6 star NPCs related to the boss’ location which will give you the opportunity to obtain pre-boss tier gear. From 5 and 6 star NPCs you will have a small chance to get 1st tier gear from Dhioutu loot table and higher chance to get the pre-tier 1 items.
- DG Tank EDL Aura will be added to the set with the upcoming 4.1 release.
- Mount rebalancing for War Tiger - adding a secondary bonus to critical strike ability based on level and color. You will be able to find a special offer in the "Special Offers Tab" and "Exclusive Offers Tab" for the Spirit War Tiger.
IMPORTANT:
All live data for the accounts will be copied to the Beta environment, and you will be able to access your main accounts on the Beta servers. Each account will have at its disposal 1000 Platinum, no matter how much the account had on the live servers. All bosses will be set to 1h respawn time and any kind of platinum purchases will be disabled.
Please be aware that the infrastructure the Beta is running on is not as powerful as the live one.
What does this all mean? Well, that gives you the peace of mind that the tests won’t affect your live accounts as it will be just a COPY of the live database into the development environment.
The snapshot of the production database that will be running on Beta was made on the 31st of May. This is the reason why you will see your COPIED account with an OLD progress.
Please keep in mind that any accounts created will be ONLY on this test server and no progression of any kind carries over to the live servers. Real money transactions will not be available!
When is this happening?
The Beta will run from today, 6th of June until Friday, 9th of June, during which you can log in anytime. Again, the more the better even if it's just idling at your favorite spot!
Please keep in mind that this is a Beta version and the features are not in their final state, there might be changes based on your feedback and experience
