Multan Sultans get boost ahead of Karachi Kings match

The two sides will collide at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday

Multan Sultans got a major boost ahead of their Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 match against Karachi Kings which will be played at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday.

The Sultans are aiming for their second PSL title after claiming their first in 2021 and they have been on fire this season as Mohammad Rizwan’s side sit first on the PSL 9 points table with 10 points.

Charles was part of the West Indies that clinched the 2016 T20 World Cup. He also became the fastest Caribbean batter to score a T20I century by completing his ton in just 39 balls against South Africa in 2023.

Charles’ inclusion in the squad would be a great confidence booster for Rizwan, who is eager to lead his side to their fourth consecutive PSL final.

Remember, Karachi Kings are not having a great time as they have only won two out of five matches and currently sit at fifth position in the PSL 9 points table, just above Lahore Qalandars who are yet to record a win this season.

Already struggling to maintain consistency, the Kings will be without one of their most important players, Kieron Pollard, who left for Mumbai on Friday to participate in the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani.

On the other hand, a win on Sunday would take the 2021 PSL winners four points clear on the top, which would result in increasing pressure on Rilee Rossouw's Quetta Gladiators, who are second with eight points from one less game than Multan.
