About this event

📢 Community event: Scampton Site as asylum accommodation

We would like to invite local community residents to a virtual community engagement event aimed at facilitating an informed dialogue around the development of the site at Scampton to be used for asylum accommodation.

The event will provide you, the local community, with an opportunity to gain insight into the Home Office's proposals and raise questions.

🟪 Key Objectives:

• Inform the local community on the Home Office’s accommodation proposals

• Provide information to reassure

• Q&A session to inform and address concerns

🟥 Important information:

To ensure the event remains focused, relevant and beneficial to those directly affected, attendance is limited to community members residing/working within close proximity of the Scampton site (specific addresses below).

- This selection criterion has been thoughtfully considered so those most directly impacted have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations.

- This approach is intended to prioritise individuals who reside in closer proximity to the Scampton site, thus likely having a deeper interest in the proposed accommodation transformation. Your understanding and cooperation with this session structure are greatly appreciated as we strive to facilitate meaningful and focused discussions within the community.

- Ticket sales will end at 15:00 26 September 2023.

🔑 Attendance Requirements:

The event is restricted to those living or working in the old service family accommodation, the neighbouring areas of Scampton, Lincoln, Welton, Dunholme, Aisthorpe, Brattleby, Cammeringham, Ingham, Sturton by Stow, Riseholme, Grange de Lings, Nettleham, North Carlton, Fillingham, Burton by Lincoln, Spridlington and Hackthorn.

Kindly confirm your participation by registering through Eventbrite and provide your residential/business address. Your address will then be verified and you will receive a link to the virtual event taking place on Microsoft Teams.
