SARAWAK

Sarawak, the Land of the Hornbills is a state in Malaysia, located on the island of Borneo. It's known for its lush rainforests, abundant wildlife, and diverse cultural heritage. The state's capital is Kuching, which is a major tourist destination and a gateway to exploring the rest of Sarawak. The state is home to a number of indigenous ethnic groups, including the Iban, the Bidayuh, and the Orang Ulu. It's also a place of natural beauty, with rivers, mountains, and the South China Sea all within its borders. 

UNIMAS

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is a public university located in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. It's one of the leading universities in Malaysia, known for its strong focus on research and innovation. Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) at UNIMAS is one of the leading medical schools in Malaysia, offering a range of programs in medicine, nursing, and other health-related fields. The faculty is known for its high-quality education and its focus on producing well-rounded health professionals. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the basic sciences, as well as clinical skills and knowledge. There's also a strong emphasis on research, and the faculty has a number of research centers and laboratories that are dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care. 

GLOBAL COLLABORATION

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) at UNIMAS have collaborations with Russian universities, particularly in the field of medical education and research. Our previous virtual Anatomy and Allied Health Sciences Symposium was a joint event that brings together medical professionals and students from both countries to discuss topics related to anatomy, physiology, and other health sciences. It was attended by over 1000 participants from all over the globe with inspiring plenary talks from speakers locally and internationally. The collaboration between the Volgograd and Astrakhan State Medical Universities, which are the leading medical schools in Russia, have strong programs in anatomy and allied health sciences, and they have a lot of experience in teaching and research in these fields.
