On May 7, 2024, the Indo-Pacific Deployment (IPD) officially began, with the German Navy’s task force provider 'Frankfurt am Main' and the frigate 'Baden-Württemberg' embarking on a seven-month mission. This ambitious deployment focuses on #defense diplomacy and enhanced #security #cooperation across the Indo-Pacific region. Throughout this journey, our ships will engage in joint exercises and host international meetings with key figures from politics, industry, and diplomacy in various ports worldwide. These interactions aim to foster stronger alliances and explore new opportunities for #collaboration. Our RENK teams will be on the ground, welcoming invited guests and showcasing our products and services, reaffirming our commitment as a #trustedpartner in the security and defense industry. The next port of call for our task force is Halifax. We look forward to sharing more updates on the IPD and collaborating with our industry partners to drive meaningful change and strengthen global security. We’re excited to announce our expansion of RENK Group in #India with a new production site for military and civil applications! 🇮🇳 The groundbreaking ceremony for the new ~7000 sq. metre facility in the Defense Industrial Corridor of Tamilnadu took place with Horizon Industrial Parks, part of Blackstone Real Estate Funds. This state-of-the-art production site in Shoolagiri Park will focus on #gearboxes, #transmissions, and #couplings, strengthening our presence in the Indo-Pacific region. Expected to open in early 2025, this facility will help us better serve the Indian market while enhancing global supply chains. More safety, sustainable #drivetrains, digital solutions: Military vehicles also need a rethink. This calls for forward-thinking technologies, which were the focus of the spring symposium of the Förderkreis Deutsches Heer e.V. (FKH), held on April 23 and 24 in Augsburg. With the theme "Future Mobility Concepts for Land Forces in Transition," international military, business, and #technology experts gathered for discussions, presentations, and knowledge exchange. Former Major General Wolfgang Köpke, President of FKH, and Susanne Wiegand, CEO of the RENK Group, welcomed the attendees and kicked off the two-day event. During a tour of the RENK plant, our team showcased innovative gear units along with digital and #testing solutions, including those from the Vehicle Mobility Solutions (VMS) competence area.

The HANNOVER MESSE kicked off yesterday with a big show and lots of celebrities under the motto "Energizing a sustainable industry". The RENK team live on site: Kai U. Bagdahn (left side, Head of global Sales Heavy Duty) and Carl P. Pöpel (right side, Head of Business Unit High Torque Solutions). The two were able to witness the official opening ceremony and have already attended international specialist presentations. For RENK, the players and networks around the #NewEnergy sector are particularly interesting in order to position itself as a #trustedpartner with topics such as hydrogen solutions, CCS & CCUS technologies as well as digitalization and AI use. The Hannover Messe is open to the public from today until April 26.
