About the author

I was born and grew up in New York State with my German immigrant mother, Russian grandmother and my sister. My German father passed away soon after immigrating to America. I am married and have one son. I am a dual citizen (German-American) living in California and have spent many years in universities as a student.
My three favorite things I that I really enjoy doing are traveling, teaching English and having deep conversations with people I meet. I mean I really enjoy getting into the minds of people to see how and why they think and act the way they do; from what I have heard so far, I got to tell you, people never cease to amaze me !
I have spent my adult life almost evenly split working in both the private sector and the public sector. The differences in civility, stress, and worker prosperity that I experienced between those two types of work environments was so stark, that I wanted to mention that in my book – in addition to showcasing how powerful and dangerous propaganda is in America.
As a 64-year-old retiree and perennial student, I’m using whatever time I have left on this earth to pass on a small amount of wisdom that was given to me by my grandmother and that I have also acquired, to my son, so he can, not only have a better life than I had, but to live a peaceful, and meaningful life.
