Dallas Mackenzie Robertson—my best friend's little sister—is off-limits. I tried to stay away until I couldn't. Especially not after I saw her all grown up. One night led to another, and then another until she disappeared without a word. Not even a goodbye. Our relationship was short, but while it lasted, I was happy. I knew it wouldn’t last forever, we had lives outside of that summer. Even five years later, I was still asking myself the same question. Would I ever get over Mackenzie Robertson?
Kenzie When Dallas moved to Silverbell Shore, he became my brother’s best friend. I was young, naïve, and hopelessly infatuated, so I tried to be their friend. It didn’t work out, of course. The summer I finished school, he came back from college and everything changed. Being friends wasn’t enough for either of us, we had our little secret relationship where we spent many nights together. How we didn’t get caught; I’d never know. Before the summer was over, I got some life-altering news. So I ran. Five years later, I’m back in town. How long will I be able to keep my little secret?
Rosie is Scottish born and bred, still living in Scotland with her husband and dogs. Reading and books had always been a part of Rosie's life. As a child she would often say she wanted to be an author (or a dog) when she grew up.
As an adult, writing didn't feature highly due to university commitments. Upon graduating university, ideas bombarded her mind and one day decided to sit down and write one.
Her other hobbies include baking, reading and watching films. Marvel is her favourite thing to watch while writing.
This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Dallas, Kenzie and their young son Austin. The author does a great job building the story and moving it fluidly with her perfectly painted scenes. She brings a life long crush to a summer fling, moves it forward five years to discover there's been another secret ... in the form of their four year old son. It's an enjoyable story and I loved reading.

This was such a sweet romance, I loved reading it, the way the characters came together was great! I loved how they were sneaking around together, I loved how they were with each other, once she forms out her secret and ran, I wish she just would have stayed but I get why she didn’t, I loved his reaction to finding out. The ending was put together perfectly! Good work! I can’t wait for another one.

I absolutely love this book! The story, the characters, the setting, the romance, EVERYTHING!
Kenzie is the younger sister of Dallas’ best friend, Leighton and she has always followed them both around as a youngster.
However, after Leighton and Dallas have been away to college they return to Silverbell Shore, they return and Dallas realises that Kenzie is no longer a child but a beautiful young woman (who is about to embark on her future at college.)
The two of them spark and they decide to enter into a relationship that they decide to keep quiet and believe that it’s a summer fling.
After a summer of fun, laughter and love (even though they both keep denying it to themselves) they part ways and not on the best terms as Kenzie leaves without saying goodbye!
Fast forward five years and Kenzie finally returns to Silverbell but she’s not alone!
I enjoyed the book. It was a good read. I will say it is a bit confusing. I don’t see how secrets can be held for so long and just open the can of worms one day… but overall good book.

I love brother's best friend romance so I was excited to read My Little Secret by Rosie East. Dallas grew up best friends with Leighton and his little sister Kenzie after they met on the beach. Kenzie remained just that, his best friend's little sister until Dallas and Leighton return home from college. Kenzie has had a crush on Dallas since she was a young girl, but she was always off limits. Until now. The chemistry between Dallas and Kenzie is off the charts hot but fear has Kenzie running away with her secret. Now 5 years later she is back. Can Dallas forgive her when he learns her secret?.

This book had all the fuzzy, heart warming feels that you want in a romance book . Rosie tells the story of Kenzie and Dallas how their love is ever lasting, how they through everything still want each other. A lovely light read with a second chance after a forbidden romance!
3.5 stars for me. A really quick and easy read with a guaranteed HEA. I enjoyed the story, but I wanted more from it, in way of character development. Timelines jumped in the novel, and whilst that helped and was somewhat necessary, it also left a lot untold and unsaid and I wanted that developing. I don’t think Dallas would have just left her to get on with life, knowing how he felt about her, etc. I will be checking out other books by Rosie East though. 💕
Welcome back to Silverbell Shore, this is Dallas and Kinzie's story.
When Dallas moved to Silverbell Shore at age 12 he met Mackenzie and her brother Leighton on the beach, so of course right from the start she was off limits to him, Leighton warned him off.
10 years later Kenzie is ready to graduate and go to University, her brother and Dallas have just returned to Silverbell Shore after completing their University course to join in the family celebration dinner, and when they see each other again there is more than a spark.
Kenzie had three months before she went to Uni and intended the enjoy herself with Dallas, but when it came to her leaving she ran without saying a proper goodbye.
Five years later Kenzie returned home with a four-year-old son with her that no one knew about, not even Dallas! now the explaining had to start.
I loved this story from the start to the end, couldn't stop reading it till it was finished. It was well-written and had strong solid characters.
This was the first book by this author that I've read and I really enjoyed it. I'll have to catch up on Silverbell Shore, but let's talk about Dallas and Kinzie! Dallas was best friends with Kinzie's brother...which made Kinzie off limits once she was older, only that might not have happened. They had a forbidden romance and then Kinzie disappeared without any word. Fast forward 5 years later, she's back in Silverbell Shore with her 4 year old son that no one knew about...including his father, Dallas and needless to say...explanations were in order. Will these two work it out and live HEA? You'll have to read to find out!.

Rosie East has written a beautiful story based on the wrong choices people make for all the right reasons. This is a very spicy yet sweet story of a childhood crush developing into a full fledged Happily Ever After. My Little Secret is a quick standalone story in the Silverbell Shore Series. It has all the vibes of a sweet contemporary romance with a few steamy erotic romance scenes thrown in the mix. The storyline follows a young girl named Kenzie from a childhood crush to her HEA around age 24. As you can imagine these stages of development are accompanied by a myriad of choices / decisions that carry life long ramifications. The story is steamy, fun, and relatable if you can suspend a little disbelief and enjoy the ride to their Happily Ever After.
The ending was perfect and something I could imagine my 5 year old saying… bittersweet at times with so much list time caused by bad decisions and Leighton… glad they all found each other again.
