Peter Tom Jones

SIM2 KU Leuven

Peter Tom Jones is the director of the KU Leuven Institute for Sustainable Metals and Minerals (SIM2), an interdisciplinary team of researchers and innovators who are dedicated to developing and implementing circular and low-carbon solutions for the processing of metals that are essential for a sustainable society.
Additionally, Jones is the author of several books (e.g. Terra Incognita, Klimaatcrisis) on the environmental crisis and the transition to a climate-neutral, circular economy, and the presenter of several documentaries (e.g. Responsible mining in Europe, Made in Europe: from mine to Electric Vehicle).

Frank Moens

DOCVILLE - Scienceville

Frank Moens is co-founder and festival director of the Documentary Film Festival DOCVILLE in Leuven. DOCVILLE is the largest documentary-only festival in Belgium, and focuses on author-driven documentaries meant to be experienced in the cinema.
In 2023, DOCVILLE introduced ScienceVille, a new scientific section within the festival that features workshops for children, interactive exhibitions, panel discussion and a competition for the best scientific documentary!
